But Andrei Kozitsyn puts in life in the first place not only money. He wants to help others and was able to prove in practice that his words are not at odds with the deed. Andrei Kozitsyn is a well-known philanthropist, and he has done a lot for his native region. How did he become a successful businessman? Let's consider this question in more detail.
Curriculum Vitae
Andrey Kozitsyn is a native of the city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma (Sverdlovsk Region). He was born on June 9, 1960. The desire to help people with him manifested itself in childhood. Once he saved a little girl who could drown in the river. For this heroic act, the young Andrei Anatolyevich Kozitsyn was awarded the medal “For the Saving of the Drowning”.
Having received a certificate of maturity, the young man entered the Mining and Metallurgical College named after I.I. Polzunova, who was in Sverdlovsk.
Work days
After graduating from it, Andrey Anatolyevich Kozitsyn got a job as a locksmith at the Uralelectromed combine. He went through all the steps of the career ladder at the enterprise and in the mid-90s he finally headed it. The time was not easy: Uralelectromed experienced a serious industrial and economic crisis, and in order to try to rectify the situation, Andrei Anatolyevich decided to get another education, becoming a student at the Ural Polytechnic (Faculty of Metallurgy). He headed Uralelectromed Kozintsev until 2002.
UMMC
In the late 90s, a graduate of the mining and metallurgical technical college headed another large enterprise. We are talking about the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company, which appeared as a result of the reorganization of Uralelectromed.
This structure was established by Kozitsyn's companion, who is known as Iskander Makhmudov.
Holding
After some time, a number of enterprises for the production of non-ferrous and ferrous metals, construction and agricultural companies were consolidated in UGKM - Holding, which became the management company of UGKM. The head of the commercial alliance was Andrei Kozitsyn, whose biography is of particular interest to aspiring businessmen. Over time, the horizons of the entrepreneur's professional interests expanded somewhat. In the late 90s, Andrei Kozitsyn (UMMC) concluded on a parity basis a profitable deal to acquire a zinc plant in Chelyabinsk. His partner was businessman Igor Altushkin.
Currently, Andrei Anatolyevich heads the Union of Enterprises of the Metallurgical Complex of the Sverdlovsk Region, is a member of the Presidium of the Association of Metallurgists of our country and leads the Committee on Metallurgy in the Russian CCI.
Charity
As already emphasized, Kozitsyn pays a lot of attention to projects whose goal is to provide real assistance to people. Andrei Anatolyevich heads the Children of Russia charity foundation.
It was he who was able to instill a love of sport in his hometown. Now, future world champions are training in Verkhnyaya Pyshma. In the mid-2000s, with the assistance of Kozitsyn, the multidisciplinary Sports Palace of the UMMC was erected here. This modern complex is equipped with an excellent training base.
In autumn, in 2010, a branch of the regional school of Olympic reserve No. 1 opened its doors to juniors. And after some time, in a festive atmosphere, the opening of the Center for Olympic training of the Russian national teams in table tennis took place. But that is not all. The next object, which was planned to be launched, is the Ice Palace of Sports. Not every region in Russia can boast of such a development of sports infrastructure. And in many ways this is the merit of businessman Andrei Kozitsyn.
In addition, the businessman initiated the introduction of a housing program, the favorable conditions of which provide an opportunity for young families of Verkhnyaya Pyshma to acquire their own mansions. The UGKM is engaged in the construction of the Sadovy microdistrict, which appeared on land that has been vacant for many years.
But this is not all Andrei Anatolyevich’s projects. In his hometown, he created a museum of military equipment to pay respect to WWII veterans.
And Kozitsyn takes care of the spiritual revival of Upper Pyshma. It was with his direct participation in the city that the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared and a mosque in the name of Imam Ismail Bukhari.
Naturally, such merits in the field of charity could not go unnoticed. Earlier, Kozitsyn was awarded the title "Philanthropist of the Year", he received three orders of the Russian Orthodox Church, has many state and public awards. And he is an honorary citizen of the Sverdlovsk region, the city of Yekaterinburg and the city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma.
