It would seem that over the past decades, many packaging materials have been invented, and interest in cardboard boxes has not faded away. On the contrary, this type of packaging is in high demand. If before there were only a couple of options for the design of boxes, today there are several dozen of them. In the production business, both ordinary cardboard and corrugated cardboard are used - a material consisting of two layers of cardboard and a paper layer.
Once the boxes were made manually, and only cardboard was cut on the equipment. This was not cost-effective, as the costs of maintaining staff collecting the packaging were extremely high. As soon as the process of assembling cardboard boxes turned out to be fully automated, the cost of production decreased markedly. Since then, packaging materials from cardboard can be seen almost everywhere where they are needed.
Those boxes that are used for packaging food and medicine must meet all sanitary requirements, therefore, cellulose of the highest quality is selected for them. controlled by computer technology, but in general marriage is not so common here, and it does not pose any serious danger. To increase the strength properties of the package, it is additionally laminated with a film, but such boxes are used only for non-food products. Ideally, cardboard should “breathe”, absorb excess moisture and prevent it from condensing on the product.
Cardboard packaging does not have to be in the form of a cube or rectangle. For example, in perfumery, designers realize the most daring ideas, creating boxes in the form of a flower or a vase. Such packages look very original and contribute to the promotion of products on the market.
The design of cardboard boxes is usually limited to the fact that they are applied by offset printing any beautiful image. Sealing technologies are used extremely rarely, as this leads to a significant increase in the cost of packaging. But it becomes fashionable to squeeze a drawing on cardboard, thereby giving the product a relief.
In the production of packaging materials, it is necessary to use such raw materials that are suitable for recycling. Due to the fact that the boxes are often made of cardboard, created on the basis of waste paper, it is possible to reduce the load on the logging industry.
