What is a dream? Scientists explain this concept as the desire for something specific, for which a person is capable of performing incredible things. Everyone knows this feeling of flying when, deeply thinking about something desired, you are carried away to another world. This makes it possible to relax and at least for a moment to get away from reality, sometimes very unpleasant.
A dream is an image of what we want so much, but at the moment we canβt get it. As a rule, these images are different for everyone. This is due to the fact that all people have different imaginations. It is it that gives us the opportunity to dream.
The most global and sometimes unrealizable are childhood dreams. Kids dream about what they donβt have, about who they would like to become in the future, where to visit and what to do. Someone takes his imagination into a world in which he became an astronaut, a famous scientist or actor, while others have a family, a house and friends there. Children's dreams are the most powerful and sincere. They are unlimited and have no limits. It is not difficult for a child to mentally travel to a distant galaxy or build a castle. What is a dream, if not the strongest desire for the best for yourself. This is perhaps the strongest motive for striving for a better future.
What happens then? Why do adults stop really dreaming? Children grow up and face brutal reality. Life is not as simple and beautiful as it seemed to them. There comes an understanding that to achieve the desired in most cases is very difficult, not everyone is capable of it. It is much easier to forget about dreams and "go with the flow."
What is a dream for an adult, modern person? This is an incentive to move forward and do something. When we reach a certain age, we stop dreaming of something global. Dreams become more material. And in order to realize them, a lot needs to be done. For example, to buy an apartment, you need to work, and for this you need education and certain skills.
A dream can work miracles with people. They begin to set goals and gradually achieve them. For the sake of this, a person is able to work for days, practically not sleep, and at the same time feel wonderful. Such people are usually called dreamers. They know exactly what they want and how to achieve it. They always have a good mood, and a smile on their face. That's because they know the feeling of complete happiness: when you realize that after all the labors and hardships your dream has come true.
There is a concept that is close in meaning to a dream - fantasy. This desire is for something definitely, for which a person is not ready to act.
Distinctive features of fantasy:
- Man does not believe in its implementation.
- A man is not ready to perform any actions or actions for her sake.
- Desire is characteristic (I would like).
- A person does not believe that he is capable of accomplishing this and does not strive for it.
Having a desire, you need to find out for yourself: fantasy is either a real dream. In the first case, it would be wise to part with such thoughts or make them more real. Fantasies are dangerous for their futility. They occupy a personβs thoughts, but do not lead to concrete actions.
What is a dream - everyone determines for himself. The main thing is to really want it to come true. This thought should be so firmly rooted in the head that a person does not doubt for a single minute in future success. It is necessary to be true to the dream and go to the end. Nothing should get in your way. Never back down, otherwise betray yourself. A doubted person can easily lose a dream and never realize it.
As they say, dreaming is not harmful, but very useful. Do not stop there. The world is open to you. Having realized one dream, proceed to the realization of another. Everything is subject to the brave man .
