In 2009, he spent 16 matches, scoring 4 goals, but in the next season he started not so vigorously. For six months he appeared on the field only six times, after which he was leased to Krylia Sovetov. There, he chalked up four goals in 12 matches.
Returning to Spartak, he spent another 19 matches, scoring two goals, but the club management considered that Pavel Vladimirovich Yakovlev was not yet ready to be a full-fledged base player. Therefore, in the second half of the season he was again sent to Wings of the Soviets, where he scored five goals in 24 matches.
Over the next two years, Yakovlev periodically appeared on the field and played 41 matches, scoring five goals. However, in 2014, he practically stopped receiving game practice - he entered the field in nine meetings and was noted with just one productive blow. Moreover, he even began to play for the Spartak double, so as not to lose shape due to rare outings on the field.
As a result, it was decided to rent the player again, this time to Mordovia. There he went to the field 12 times in six months, but did not score with a large number of productive actions, and did not score goals at all. As a result, he returned to Spartak and went directly to the double, but then he got a chance to regain form in Wings of the Soviets, for which he had previously played.
However, having gone on lease for a year, he was able to achieve only four exits on the field. In the summer of 2016, Yakovlev returned to the Moscow club, which refused to renew his contract. Fortunately, the Makhachkala “Anji” needed any increased protection after the cessation of funding, so Pavel was able to move there as a free agent.

In 2009, he was twice summoned to the national team until the age of 19, and then was transferred to the team in the age category up to 21 years. It was there that he spent most of his time: Yakovlev entered the field 23 times and scored four goals.
However, unfortunately, he could not achieve more. He was not called to the main team of Russia, because his unstable period of traveling on leases began.
