Camus Cognac House appeared thanks to the efforts of Jean Baptiste Camus in 1863. 7 years after the founding of Camus, the cognac of this company won the hearts of Europeans, after which the Russian market. Gaston Camus, one of the owners of this House, visited Russia regularly, while Emperor Nicholas II called him on a hunt.
Interestingly, this French cognac house has a certain connection with Russia. So, in 1910, he supplied to our country about 70% of his imports. After almost 50 years, a cooperation agreement was signed with the USSR, which was valid for thirty years.
There were reasons for this: it should be noted that the Camus house selects only the best part of the harvest for its drinks, during the distillation of wine into spirits, a number of different family “tricks” are used. Moreover, any stage of the process of creating drinks is controlled by a representative of a legendary family. And the art of assembling in it is transmitted through generations - from Jean Baptist to Jean Paul, today's chapter, and his eldest son, continuing the tradition, Jean Baptista II.
Interestingly, the Camus House is still a family-owned independent enterprise, and this despite the interesting offers for its sale that regularly come to Jean Paul. Camus House, as befits such a large cognac house, offers a huge range of drinks. We will talk about them below.
