Childhood
Hockey player Kirill Kaprizov was born in February 1997 in Novokuznetsk (Kemerovo Region). At a very young age, the future athlete lived with his family in the village. His mobility and hyperactivity was noticed by his parents. After consulting, they decided to give it to the hockey sports section.
In 2001, his father first brought Cyril to the ice arena of Novokuznetsk. The boy really liked hockey, and he wanted to attend the sports section. Father had to take him to the city for training for four years daily.
The first steps in hockey
The first coach of the hockey player Kirill Kaprizov was a well-known specialist in the city, Andrey Luchansky. He quickly saw great potential in the boy, so in training he gave him increased loads.
Cyril put to play in all positions except the goalkeeper. It was Luchansky who gave Kaprizov all the skills necessary for a future successful career.
First, Cyril played in the Kuznetsk Bears youth team . At first, he went out onto the ice more time as a defender, but over time he turned into an extreme striker. This was facilitated by his tendency to technical play, as well as great stability and maneuverability.

In 52 matches of the regular championship of the MHL, the forward of the Bears scored 18 goals and gave 14 assists. This performance did not pass by the attention of the coaches of the main team of Novokuznetsk - “Metallurg”.
Professional career
In 2014, hockey player Kirill Kaprizov made his debut in the KHL. That season, the young striker was allocated not so much playing time, so his statistics were rather modest - 8 (4 + 4) points in 31 matches.
In 2015, Whims got into the NHL draft, where he was chosen by the Minnesota Wild club. However, the Russian hockey player did not want to leave the ocean and remained in the “Metallurg”. And, as it turned out, not in vain: Cyril firmly entrenched in the basis of the Novokuznetsk team. In 53 matches of the regular season, he scored 11 goals and gave 16 assists. Thanks to these indicators, the 19-year-old striker is included in the KHL All-Star Game.
In 2016, a record-breaking transfer took place for the Novokuznetsk Metallurg - the hockey player Kirill Kaprizov was sold to Salavat Yulaev for 80 million rubles. As part of the Ufa team, the striker began to play even more productively. In 49 fights held, he scored 42 (20 + 22) points and again became a participant in the KHL All-Star Game.
In 2017, the unexpected happened: the favorite of the Ufa audience, Kirill Kaprizov, entered into a three-year contract with Moscow CSKA. In the current KHL draw, the forward of the “army” in 17 matches scored 21 points already.
Team appearances
For the first time, hockey player Kirill Kaprizov appeared on the ice as part of the junior Russian team in 2013. In its composition, he became the champion and winner of several international tournaments. In 2015, the attacker as a vice captain went to the Junior World Championships in Switzerland. Here Kaprizov was noted by a hammered puck and three assistants in 4 fights. Unfortunately, the Russian hockey players lost in the quarterfinals to the hosts of the tournament and took only fifth place.
The following year, Cyril as part of the youth team participated in the world championship in Finland. In seven matches, the striker scored 3 (1 + 2) points, and his game helped the Russian team to take second place.
The next World Youth Championship in Canada, Caprice rode as team captain. Despite the fact that Russian hockey players took only third place, Kirill scored 9 goals in seven fights and helped their partners distinguish themselves 3 times. Such indicators made him the best striker, scorer and sniper of the competition.
Thanks to the excellent game at the youth world championship, Kaprizova was included in the expanded composition of the Russian national team for the upcoming World Cup, but he never got into the final application.
