Recently, quadrocopters, which are remote-controlled unmanned aerial vehicles with four propellers, are becoming increasingly popular. There are many different models - from the most primitive and budget to professional and high-speed. That’s what they’ll talk about now. More precisely, about the fastest quadrocopter in the world.
DRL RacerX
This is the name of the most impressive model of the drone in terms of technical characteristics. The American company Drone Racing League, which rightly calls itself the world leader in professional quadrocopter racing, released this device a little less than a year ago.
His tests were carried out in New York on July 13, 2017. To officially record the result, an authorized representative of the company called Guinness World Records was invited. On that day, the DRL RacerX became the fastest quadrocopter in the world - it managed to disperse to 263.1 km / h.
It is important to make a reservation that the speed at which the drone covered the distance was determined as the arithmetic average of the combined results over two 100-meter sections. Interestingly, in one of the sections the fastest quadrocopter accelerated to 289.04 km / h.

What is the legendary DRL RacerX? This is a drone, the basis of which is a frame made of carbon fiber. This material is a lightweight carbon fiber of the highest quality. It is stronger than metal and 50% lighter than steel.
The frame itself, it should be noted, has a perfectly calibrated cross-shaped shape, providing excellent aerodynamics to the device.
The “heart” of the fastest quadrocopter is the powerful Tiger Motor F80 2200KV engines, consuming energy from two 1300 mAh LiPo 6S batteries. The maximum rotation speed of the motors is about 46,000 rpm. Also worth mentioning are the 5045 propellers. They are strong enough and tough enough to lift to a height of 800 grams.

This, of course, is not the fastest quadrocopter, but its power is also impressive. It was also created in 2017, and its presentation took place on May 26.
Two test flights were conducted. According to their results, the average speed of the device was 244.6 km / h. The basis of this drone is a carbon frame, the diagonal of which is 178 mm. It was also decided to install a Cobra 2450 KV and CP2207 electric motor. The propellers are the same as the previously mentioned drone.
It is worth noting that the total thrust of the motors reaches 7.376 kg, and the drone itself weighs only 485 grams. So the ratio is 15.2 to 1.
The engines run on the same battery as the notorious record holder, but only the VX1 needs only one battery.
This fast and maneuverable micro quadrocopter is controlled from the Spektrum DX6 remote control. And it also has a powerful wide-angle camera installed, the resolution of which reaches 700 TVL.
Varavon pathfinder-s
This is another model released in the middle of last year. It was developed by an American-Korean company called Varavon Inc. They managed to produce an impressive multicopter, which not only accelerates to 200 km / h, but also is completely waterproof.
The apparatus is equipped with 2300 KV brushless electronic motors with 6045 quality propellers and is sold without a control panel and battery. Such a set costs about $ 700, which in rubles is a little more than 40,000 rubles. Without a battery, the drone weighs 600 grams. Its mass is larger than previous models, because this unit is additionally protected from water. Despite this, he is very agile and fast. Its dimensions, by the way, are 26 x 29.9 x 10 cm.
There is still a mass of nimble drones, many of which are mass-produced. A stylish and compact Teal Sport Racer, for example, which accelerates to 136 km / h, or the popular Walkera Furious 320, reaching a speed of 120 km / h. They cost, of course, not cheap, but quality always required a lot of money.
