Seventh Heaven is the name of a restaurant complex located in the building of the Ostankino television tower in Moscow.
The legendary Ostankino tower
The Ostankino television tower has its history since 1957. N. Nikitin designed the tower overnight. The purpose of the construction was to provide a powerful radio and television signal at an altitude of about 380 meters.
The Ostankino Tower is an architectural structure 540 meters high. The tower was built from 1960 to 1967. L.I. Batalov, D.I. Burdin and many other architects took part in the construction and design development. In those days, the tower was the tallest building in the world. Today, in terms of its height, it occupies the fourth place in the world and the first in Europe and Asia.

Since the founding of the Ostankino tower and the opening of a restaurant in it, most visitors have been attracted not by the kitchen, but by the very location of the establishment. If you compare it with multi-storey buildings, then this is approximately the 112th floor. Each floor of the restaurant has a diameter of about 18 meters and rotates around its axis once or twice an hour. Since the founding of the tower, more than 10 million people managed to visit the institution. In the restaurant you can try both European, Oriental and Russian cuisine. Here a pleasant romantic atmosphere reigns - in the fresh air, with panoramic views of Moscow and the Moscow region. After the fire that occurred on August 27, 2000, the restaurant was closed for restoration. In order to restore the restaurant to its former beauty and make it more modernized, the architects took more than one year.

After several years, Muscovites again started talking about the fact that the restaurant in the Ostankino Tower was being put back into operation. Before the opening, all banquets were held in the Royal concert hall, which was designed for 100 guests and was located at the very base of the Ostankino tower. After the repair, the Seventh Heaven appeared more elegance, modernity and taste. In three large rooms with almost the same layout, there are tables along the windows around the entire perimeter. This location was planned so that guests could conveniently enjoy the panorama of the city. Today, the halls, as before, rotate around its axis, and at the same speed - once or twice an hour.
In each of the three halls, various services are provided. In one of the halls, which is called "Height", there are cafes offering delicious food and quick service for guests. Here, very attentive staff. “Russian Diamond” - a room in the classical style, located above the “Height”, created specifically for lovers of fine cuisine.
Jupiter, occupying the third hall, is located on two tiers. There is also an observation deck with a telescope and a cognac room.
The menu of all three halls must include:
- pancakes;
- meat of various grades;
- cabbage soup;
- dumplings;
- homemade pies.
