Stages of the football path
Alexey Shevchenko (photo above) comprehended the basics of goalkeeper skill in the children and youth school of the Olympic reserve of the Inter club (Dnepropetrovsk). Here the young goalkeeper was spotted by the breeders of Zaporizhzhya Metallurg. From 2011 to 2012, Alexey played for the Metallurg-2 team. During this time he played 46 fights.
Alexey spent his debut match for the main team of the Zaporizhzhya club on October 13, 2011 against FC Lviv. Slowly, he began to increasingly appear in the starting lineup of the team and played nine fights in the 2011/2012 season. But the club itself played in the national championship very poorly. The team held steady in last place. Coaching “leapfrog” did not contribute to the improvement of tournament performance.
More and more conflicts began to occur in the club. After one of the conversations on elevated tones with the head coach of the team, Vitaliy Kvartsyan, Alexei lost his place in the first team. Now he performed only in the youth team of Metallurg. Naturally, this state of affairs could not satisfy the young goalkeeper. After the disastrous season, in which the team took the last 16th place, he began to look for a new job.
The management of the Zaporizhzhya club, oddly enough, went towards the goalkeeper, allowing him to leave the team before the expiration of the contract. May 30, 2013 Aleksey Shevchenko as a free agent signed a five-year contract with the club Dynamo (Kiev). He became the fourth goalkeeper, who joined the metropolitan team from Zaporizhzhya Metallurg. The first was Stanislav Bogush, the second was Maxim Koval, the third was Vadim Soldatenko, who defends the colors of the Ukrainian youth team now.
But to compete with the goalkeepers of the Kiev club Alexei failed. Having played 5 matches for the Dynamo youth squad, he was leased to the Goverla Uzhgorod in early 2014. Here he was lucky enough to enter the football field only once. The Goverla coach fully trusted the No. 1 post to Alexander Nady, who demonstrated a relatively stable game.
In the fall of 2014, Alexei moved as a rented footballer to the Olympic Premier League rookie Donetsk. But even here he was not destined to play. One duel in the U-21 against Dynamo Kyiv is all that he managed to achieve during his stay in the Olympic team. After the season, four players left the Donetsk club: Alexander Maximov, Evgeny Odintsov, Artem Nedolya and Alexey Shevchenko. The goalkeeper needed constant practice, but it just did not exist.
Returning to Kiev, Alexey trained with the Dynamo-2 team on his own, participated in the Makarov Memorial tournament, and was looking for another team. Now he needed a club guaranteeing a solid place at the gate. And such a team was found. It turned out to be “Torpedo” (Kutaisi), representing the championship of Georgia. This club guaranteed the goalkeeper one hundred percent practice. In this team, Alex played four matches.
Currently, Aleksey Shevchenko is the goalkeeper playing in the Dila team (Gori), who recently became the champion of Georgia. As part of this club, Alexey held his first matches in the most prestigious European club competition - the Champions League.
Euro Cup matches
There are only two of them in Aleksey Shevchenko’s career so far. They took place as part of the second qualifying round of the Champions League. The first match was held on July 14, 2015. On this day, "Dila" played the first guest match on the field of the Belgrade "Partizan". The hosts won with a minimum score, leaving the intrigue for the return match. However, contrary to expectations, Partizan was stronger in the second match, scoring two goals against the Georgian team. Dila dropped out of the tournament, and Andrei gained invaluable experience in speaking at international meetings.
National team
Alexey Shevchenko, whose biography did not work out in club football, has established himself well in performing as part of the country's youth teams. In 2010, he played one match for the national team of Ukraine (U-18), in 2012 he played a match in a team (U-20). In 2012-2013, Alexey defended the honor of the youth team (U-21), which included 9 official meetings. We are waiting for progress from Alexei. Who knows, maybe one day he will play for the main national team.
