"Valkyrie" - an ancient amulet, which was born thanks to the Slavic and northern peoples, in the pagan culture of which amulets had a special meaning: without them it was hardly possible to imagine a normal life.
At that time, our ancestors believed that such talismans were able to protect against diseases, dark forces and evil thoughts. The whole houses and families were protected with amulets, used to achieve a higher result in any activity.
The Valkyrie amulet patronized soldiers and defenders, along with other Slavic talismans used in battle to boost morale and empower men.
Magic amulets
The amulet does not have to have a material form, it can be both an object and an action with protective properties. In addition, it is believed that such a thing is able to warn the owner of impending troubles and negative impact on him.
Slavic security amulets have a long history, differ in the abundance of species and values ββthat allow each of them to be used in a strictly defined situation. They were used even before the birth of the future owner, and while the mother was carrying a child in the womb, without parting with a magical object, they already influenced the fate of the owner.
The Valkyrie amulet is no exception - this amulet can become a very durable shield, cutting off any negative effects in the direction of the future woman in labor and her child.
The Slavs, like the representatives of the northern peoples, always very much relied on the action of magical objects. Such amulets were made with one's own hand and in a single embodiment, but sometimes, a woman who previously performed special rites was allowed to this occupation.
Amulets were divided according to their purpose: the weaker sex was intended for objects giving fertility and prosperity, and the man needed those that promised wisdom and protection in battle (one of them is the Slavic amulet βValkyrieβ).
Amulets history
In Scandinavian mythology, Valkyrie is a maiden who celebrates especially brave and desperate warriors who are destined to go to Valhalla for an eternal feast. Their main task is to deliver the fallen to the battlefield to the god Odin. According to one version, it was even believed that for this purpose the warriors were served by swan wings, with the help of which they rose up along with the killed soldiers.
Somewhat later, these mythical characters moved to Slavic traditions, from where the Valkyrie appeared (the amulet, a photo of which is presented below).
Since the image of the virgin was firmly connected with the war, this amulet was most often carried by people of the corresponding profession. It was applied to the fabric of clothing, weapons and body parts, even despite the advent of the Christian era.
Thus, it can be assumed that the faith in Valkyrie among the people was very strong, since it could not be destroyed by the departure of paganism. However, this is due to the properties of the amulet, which gives peace and tranquility to the soul of its owner, making it much more resistant in the face of troubles.
Slavic amulet "Valkyrie": meaning
This amulet represents such high moral qualities as honor, nobility, justice and wisdom. Since the warrior maiden was one of the sacred symbols of the culture of the ancient Slavs, absolutely any person who had nothing to do with military operations could wear such a magical item.
In translation, the name of the symbol sounds something like "choosing the dead", however, in this context we are talking about the mythical winged maiden - Valkyrie. However, the sign itself is considered a personified image of death worthy of a warrior.
Important aspects of the meaning of the symbol
The symbol forming the Valkyrie amulet, among other things, denotes the protection of the earth and the clan, because its effect is not limited to the fate of only one person. Based on the power of this amulet, its owner is able to save his family, business and everything that he has ever been dear to him in life.
It is believed that having this magical item with him, its owner will enjoy authority, therefore, it is most popular among people in leadership positions.
Magical properties
The Valkyrie amulet, the meaning of which is somewhat deeper than is generally believed, is one of the most powerful of its kind. With it, you can gain confidence in your abilities, focus on achieving goals and increase your daily energy supply.
This magical item is able to work instead of a shield, forming a barrier between its owner and negative influences from the inside and from the outside. The symbol itself is a reminder of the infinity of the cycle of life, which determines the future and allows a person to spiritually grow and develop, knowing absolutely no boundaries.
The use of amulets
There are no particular subtleties in using Valkyrie. Like any other amulet, it is either put on the neck (so that it reaches the chest area), using a silver chain or cord, applied to the skin, decorate it with clothes, or make it yourself from improvised means.
Usually, such an amulet is worn to improve personal life, as it helps to find someone who is happy to share the path of its owner. It is recommended to get them not only for men, but also for women, whose character and strong-willed qualities are firm, since the Valkyrie amulet has a rather rigid and aggressive energy.
In addition, it is a symbol that embodies the power of the sun, which makes this Slavic amulet a universal remedy that harmoniously combines wisdom and courage. A prudent and courageous person always presents such a magical object with dignity and facilitates its path, directing the ownerβs efforts in the right direction.
Conclusion
Despite the effectiveness of this amulet, versions of its origin are somewhat contrary to each other. There is an opinion that this symbol was created in our time on the basis of Celtic patterns, bearing a certain meaning, which partially depreciates it in the eyes of lovers of antiquity.
However, many are inclined to believe that the Valkyrie amulet came to us from time immemorial, since there is indirect evidence of the use of the amulet by priests to protect the Vedas.
In fact, objective data confirming this or that version are missing: too much time has passed since then, moreover, much more global problems and events occupy modern science. It is impossible to assert with certainty that the Valkyrie symbol is an ancient artifact, but it is also difficult to deny it due to the lack of real facts.
It remains only to throw such arguments out of my head and simply use the properties of the amulet and the energy of the sun, probably enclosed in it, like in any other Slavic symbol, the similarity with which is too obvious.
