Crime story

Late in the night of August 13, 2011, Mirzaev Rasul hit nineteen-year-old student Ivan Agafonov. The guy fell to the ground and hit his head. Five days later, the athlete, despite the powerful protection in the person of the Dagestan deputies, was sent under arrest. At the end of November 2012, the results of the fifth forensic medical examination were announced, which established the absence of a direct relationship between Mirzaev’s blow and Agafonov’s death. Thus, the court sentenced Rasul to two years of restriction of freedom and released him from custody, since he had served his sentence in a pre-trial detention center. In response, the Agafonov family lawyer filed a cassation appeal, which ultimately was not satisfied.
