NCP Novotroitsky Cement Plant OJSC is a major producer of Portland cement of various grades and building materials based on it. Located in the city of Novotroitsk in the southeast of the Orenburg region. Productivity of the enterprise is 1300000 tons per year.
History
The Novotroitsk Cement Plant was founded on October 21, 1954 to provide building materials for the Orsk-Novotroitsk industrial district. The first phase consisted of two production lines and a rotary kiln with a design capacity of 450,000 tons of cement. In 1956, productivity was increased to 600,000 tons of cement by increasing the diameter of the kiln and introducing a raw mill. Two years later, a new rotary kiln was launched.
1960 was a year of great updates. A large feed mill equipped with three mills was commissioned. Thanks to its capacity, the volume of cement produced amounted to 930000 tons. Until the end of the 60s, all furnaces were modernized, their diameter was increased to 3.6 m, a system for feeding ground slag from the hot end of the furnace was introduced. These measures allowed to increase productivity up to 1300000 tons of Portland cement.
In 1972, the NZP was awarded the Badge of Honor, and the Portland cement M-500 was awarded the Quality Mark. For the next five years, the staff regularly overfulfilled production plans. Its products went to the development of enterprises in the Orenburg, Chelyabinsk regions, Bashkiria, Kazakhstan, housing, military and other facilities were built.
In 1986, factory specialists developed a unique product - cement cement, clinker-free M-150, obtained from industrial waste. On November 12, 1992, the state-owned enterprise was transformed into Novotroitsk Cement Plant JSC.
Production
The annual regulatory capacity of the NZP is 1,297,000 tons of Portland cement annually in the manufacture of low-grade cement. The production cycle is organized by the so-called wet method, which allows you to fine-tune the mineral composition of raw materials by introducing corrective additives.
The Novotroitsk cement plant consists of a complex of auxiliary, main workshops and infrastructure facilities. Each specialized workshop carries out its own technological process:
- preparation of feedstock;
- grinding;
- burning;
- product packaging;
- its shipment.
All lines are connected into a unified flow system.
Raw material base
The Novotroitsk Cement Plant uses clay extracted from its own resources and resources from a cement clay quarry located not far from the industrial base of the enterprise as a raw material. Limestone is supplied from the Akkerman mine (YuUGPK, Novotroitsk) and OJSC Gaysky GOK (Gai). Gypsum is brought from Kumertau (Bashkortostan). Blast furnace slag from OJSC Ural Steel is supplied to the NCP through a specially constructed VKD (air-cableway) suspension road.
Products
OJSC Novotroitsky Cement Plant offers the following types of Portland cement:
- M-500 without additives of mineral raw materials;
- M-400 with mineral additives;

NZP also produces slag cement of grades M-300 and M-400, mineral powder for organic-mineral, asphalt concrete mixtures.
Marketing
According to the adopted marketing policy, the Novotroitsk cement plant is focused on two large target markets: the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since the cost of delivery in the total price of products is high, the company seeks to serve the nearby territories of the South Urals and north-west of Kazakhstan. Following market trends, NCH increases the shipment of sulfate-resistant Portland cement.
As part of the production cooperation, the Novotroitsk plant has established stable economic ties with the Akkerman mine, enterprises: Sandin LLC of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Ural Steel OJSC (Novotroitsk), Gaysky GOK OJSC (Gai).
Development
One of the important strategic tasks of the enterprise is the replacement of morally and physically worn out equipment. Despite the consequences of the financial crisis, the enterprise management gives paramount importance to the modernization and reconstruction of production facilities. For this, the plantβs specialists are solving the problems of improving production technology in order to reduce costs, increase profitability, and produce competitive products.
In recent years, a large amount of work has been carried out to improve and reconstruct existing process equipment. In particular, the modernization of rotary kilns, cement and raw mills. Overhaul and current repairs of drying drums, SM 170 crushers, D-16 crushers, technological equipment of cement silos No. 1-16 were carried out. The work of dry slag transportation lines to a joint warehouse for storage and packaging of finished cement products has been improved (Roto-Paker, Big-Beg production lines, Aspiration loading system).
Novotroitsk plant continues to develop. Its products are in demand in private housing construction, construction organizations of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan.
