Isaac Cuenca is a Spanish footballer currently playing for Granada. He is only 25 years old, so now he is in the best shape. But not at the peak of his career. Isaac Cuenca plays the winger position, preferring the right flank, but he can play on the left as well. If we talk about the right flank, then there he can also play as a defender.
Carier start
Isaac Cuenca was born on April 27, 1991 in the Spanish city of Reus, he started playing football at the age of seven, when he joined the Huroka club academy, with which he spent three years. After that, he moved to the academy of the more famous Espanyola club, but there he spent only two years, since in 2003 he managed to successfully pass the show in the Catalan Barcelona, one of the strongest clubs in the world. However, already in 2005, it was decided to send him to other, less demanding academies. As a result, from 2005 to 2009, Isaac Cuenca visited the youth teams of various clubs: Santes Creus, Reus Deportiu and Damm. When he turned eighteen, Barcelona still offered him a professional contract, but did not give him the opportunity to play for the main team. During the 2010/11 season, Cuenca played 32 lease games at a Sabadell club, scoring five goals. The following year, the winger began performing for the Barcelona double, having spent five matches there and scored two goals, but quite quickly the leadership saw a great talent in him. Therefore, he played thirty matches for the main team and scored four goals. However, talent alone in a club like Barcelona is not enough, so in the winter of 2013, Cuenca was sent on loan to the Dutch Ajax. There he could not prove himself, having entered the field only five times in a whole year. Naturally, there could be no talk of a game for Barcelona. Isaac Cuenca, whose photos a year ago hung on the covers of all sports publications, “burned out”, and his career went downhill. In the 13/14 season, he never appeared on the field as part of Barcelona, and in the summer of 2014, when his contract with the club expired, he went to Deportivo.
Going to Deportivo
In the new club, the pupils of Barcelona received joyfully, as they believed that he could still help the club. But in 29 games for the season, Cuenca could not show everything that he was capable of recently, so they did not begin to renew the contract with him - and a year later he was forced to look for a new team.
Relocation to Turkey
In the summer of 2015, Cuenca signed a contract with the Turkish “Buraspor”, according to which he was to spend a year in the club. During this year he played only 19 matches, scored one single goal, so the contract with him was again not renewed.
Return to Spain
This season, Isaac defends the colors of the Spanish “Granada”, a contract with which he also only lasts a year. For the first half of the season, he played only 11 matches, scoring one goal - the reason for this is the injury that the player is now struggling with.
