Teflon pans, beloved by everyone in the recent past, have faded into the background today due to the appearance on the market of products with a new coating - ceramic. It has already been proven that Teflon is unsafe for human health. If it is damaged, harmful chemicals begin to be released. According to some reports, if you cook for a long time in such dishes, there is a high risk of cancer. Ceramic pans in this regard are completely safe, which is why they have gained great popularity. For their manufacture, a special material called “Thermolon” is used, as well as a more advanced “Thermolon Rocks”. Recent studies have shown that it is really safe, and also quite durable, resistant to wear.

A ceramic-coated pan, which is exactly what it should be called correctly, is not made entirely from this material. Ceramics are inherently clay, and if exposed to high temperature, it will not last long. That is why the basis of the pan is aluminum or cast iron, and the very top layer (both outside and inside), on which the food is cooked, is ceramic. Its thickness can be varied. Usually, the cheaper the model, the thinner this layer is, which means the product will undergo wear faster.

Why are ceramic pans so good ? As mentioned above, they are safe to use, since their coating is a completely natural material. In addition, it is a pleasure to cook food on them: it does not burn, lags well, you can even create culinary masterpieces without the use of vegetable oil. The ceramic coating is also good because the heat is distributed evenly over it, which means that the dishes will cook faster, and the products themselves will have to be turned less often. Such pans are not afraid of high temperatures, they are easy to wash, and the top layer itself is quite resistant to scratches. But still, it is recommended not to use metal blades, as there is a risk of damage.

Ceramic pans on sale today are presented in large numbers. The abundance of models, which may even differ in their colors, allows each hostess to choose something worthwhile for herself. By the way, product prices are also quite diverse. And the more expensive the model, the more high-quality it will be, so it can last longer. Cheap pans with a ceramic coating (reviews indicate this) wear out very quickly, in some cases this happens after a week of operation. So, if you intend to purchase such an assistant in the near future, choose a decent model, albeit a little more expensive, but always a verified manufacturer.
And the last: ceramic pans, despite their practicality and resistance to various influences, require a careful attitude. So, they should be washed only after complete cooling and only by hand using detergent. Frozen foods cannot be laid on the work surface; they must be at room temperature.
