Roy Mackay is a striker, formerly a scorer of the Dutch national team. He is one of the main stars of world football in the early 2000s. Currently, he is trying his own strength as a mentor in his native club Feyenord, in particular, he is training football players under the age of 13 years.

Roy Mackay was born in the small village of Wihen on March 9, 1975. Since childhood, the boy is interested in big sport. Therefore, at the age of 16, his parents give him to the football academy of the Vitesse club, which was based in the large city of Arnhem.

However, the striker becomes a real hero, having scored 8 goals for the club at the finish of the championship, which allows the Spanish team to win the country's championship in the championship race against Barcelona for the first time in history.
In 2002, Roy Mackay helped Deportivo get the Spanish Cup. In the final meeting of the tournament, striker goals allow Real Madrid to win. The next season, Mackay finishes with 29 goals scored in the Spanish championship and receives the Golden Boot Award, which is awarded annually to the best scorer in Europe.

In the 2003/2004 season, Roy Mackay signed a contract with the leadership of Munich Bavaria in the amount of 20 million euros, which at that time was a record transfer in the history of world football. In the 2007/2008 season, the already 31-year-old Mackay is returning to his homeland, renewing the contract with Feyenord. In 2010, the legendary striker announced the completion of a professional career as a player, later taking a place in the club’s coaching staff.

During his appearances in the Champions League for Bayern Munich in 2007, Roy Mackay scored the fastest goal in tournament history. To forward his own team ahead in the playoff match of the 1/8 finals against the Real Madrid team, the striker succeeds already at 11 seconds of the meeting.
