The grinding machine is used to make the surface of the product even and smooth. Basically, the presented device processes wood. The devices perform several basic operations: chamfering and sagging, rounding, calibration, and leveling of surfaces.
There are several types of processing devices: a combined disk grinding
machine, a tape device and a tape polishing unit. The first type is used for finishing and roughing of parts, alignment of angles. Two laps can be supplied. Such an aggregate can be stationary and portable.
As for the second type of devices, all actions on them are performed using the tape. The skin is usually sold in rolls, which are cut into strips of the right size. Moreover, they can have large or small abrasive grains on the surface, as well as a continuous filling of abrasive material or partial. The presented machines can also be divided into several types.
For example, a
belt sander can have both narrow and wide skins. If the device operates in narrow bands, then it has such features: one or two tapes can be fixed on the unit, the feed can be mechanical or manual, for a flat processing of the material, you can use a free tape. The procedure occurs due to the movement of the iron and the table, and they move in different directions.
If the grinding machine operates on a wide abrasive strip, then it can calibrate the workpieces by thickness and perform flat processing of panel parts. It works according to this principle: the iron presses the abrasive strip to the material and begins to move. All dust resulting from grinding is automatically cleaned with a brush.
The multi-unit type grinding machine is a combination of wide-band and narrow-band properties. However, such devices are used on an industrial scale.
Naturally, before starting work, any device must be inspected for damage or defects, as well as set it up. If the unit is large enough, then several people should service it.
Another type of processing unit is a grinding and polishing machine. It is used to process stone. The action is performed using abrasive wheels of the end type. Moreover, the presented device can also be classified into several types:
- gantry aggregates - powerful devices by which very hard and durable stones are ground, and the portal can move or remain in place;
- bridge devices used for processing stone slabs;
- knee-lever machines, used for grinding small elements of stone products.
You can still distinguish stationary, portable and combined units. And there are special polishing machines that are used for grinding the edges and ends of various products.
