Ghanaian footballer Kwadvo Asamoa was not considered a special talent in his youth, but in the end he managed to break into the best club in Italy and stay there for a long time. However, one cannot say that he is a base player or a star - but he copes with his tasks properly. Quadvo Asamoa still has a two-year contract with Juventus, and it is not yet known what awaits him next, especially given the team’s focus on great achievements. In the meantime, you should pay attention to how the career of this midfielder was built.
Carier start
Kvadvo Asamoa was born on December 9, 1988 in Ghana, where he spent his entire childhood. He played soccer at an amateur level until he was seventeen, when he was found by scouts of the local Kaazerman club, where he stayed for the following year. Then he moved to another Ghanaian club, Liberty Professionals, with which he signed a professional contract. In 2007, scouts from Europe began to watch him, and the small Swiss club Bellinzona, as a result, in December invited him to move to a more serious championship. So Quadvo Asamoa found himself in Europe, where for a month already showed serious abilities. Already in January 2008, he was sent to rent in the Italian "Turin", where for half a year he proved to be quite good. In the summer of 2008, Asamoa was again leased, this time at Udinese.
Going to Udinese
The lease agreement was designed for one year, and during this year, Asamoa Quadvo entered the field in 28 games, scoring two goals. The Italian club really liked the young Ghanaian, so it was decided to purchase it for one million euros of compensation. So Asamoa settled in Serie A, where he began to develop quite quickly and show a good game. In the four seasons he spent at Udinese, Quadvo played 134 matches, scoring eight goals. In 2012, the 24-year-old midfielder was noticed by many large clubs, but the offer from the Juventus Turin, of course, became the most attractive. Udinese received an impressive amount for the player - 18 million euros, and Asamoa himself became a member of the strongest club in Italy.
Career at Juventus
Quadvo Asamoa is a midfielder who can play both on the left flank and in the center, so his “universality” was very useful for his versatility. From the first season, the Ghanaian began to often appear at the base of the club, having played 83 matches in two years, scoring 5 goals. However, over time, Juventus began to rise to a qualitatively new level, so Asamoa began to increasingly remain on the bench. Over the next two seasons, due to the presence of stronger players, as well as due to frequent injuries, Quadvo played in only 23 matches, without scoring a single goal. In the current season, Asamoa appears on the field quite often - he has already played in five matches, but has not yet distinguished himself with any effective action. At the moment, the player is injured again and is undergoing recovery without participating in team games.
Team appearances
In the team of Ghana, Asamoa plays a rather important role and is one of the leaders. He made his debut back in 2009 in a February friendly match against the Egyptian national team. In 2010, he was included in the application for the African Cup of Nations, where he spent all five matches at the base, giving two assists. Following this, he went with Ghana to the 2010 World Cup, where he again played all five matches at the base. At the 2012 Africa Cup, Quadvo missed only the first match, and took part in the remaining five, leaving the starting lineup every time. At the 2013 Africa Cup, he was also the main player in all matches, as well as at the 2014 World Cup, where he mastered the new role of left-back. Asamoa held his last match for the national team in October 2014 against the Guinean national team as part of the African Nations Cup qualification.
