Among the many manufacturers of building materials, one can distinguish the Russian company Gypsopolimer and its products for plastering the Rotgips line.

Specifications

The plasters of this company are produced in accordance with the technical conditions 5745-003-48420415-2015. Product quality is confirmed by a certificate of conformity.

"Rotgips" - universal plaster, which is used for walls and ceilings with various bases. Plastic consistency facilitates the application process. High adhesion improves finish quality.

gypsum plaster

Plaster mortar creates a smooth surface that is easily glossy. The surface treated with such a composition does not need subsequent puttying. It’s easy to work with this material. It is easy to apply on the base. Its processing is straightforward.

Setting time is an average of 60 minutes. This is enough to carry out work, and if necessary - to adjust. Due to the high ability of the material to adhere, the layer of applied plaster can reach 0.6-5 cm.

ratgips specifications

The line of stucco compositions of the company is represented by three types:

  • Gypsum plaster "Rotgips". It is universal, plastic, with high adhesion and low consumption.
  • "Rotgips standard" - does not shrink, is resistant to cracking. One layer can reach a thickness of 5 cm.
  • "Rotgips-MSh" for machine application. It is characterized by high productivity, economy and the duration of preservation of the finished solution (up to 90-100 minutes).

The consumption of the dry mixture is small. And if you apply a layer 1 cm thick, it will be 8 kg / m 2 .

Roth gypsum plasters are packaged in paper bags weighing 10, 25 and 30 kg. While maintaining the integrity of the packaging, the shelf life of the material is 9 months.

Preparatory work

Before applying the plaster to the base, it is necessary to prepare the surface and prepare the plaster solution.

The surface must be cleaned of dust, paint, residues of the old masonry mortar. Dry and primer.

The temperature should be above 5 degrees.

"Rotgips" is a plaster that is diluted with water from a ratio of 1: 0.7, that is, approximately 21 liters of water are needed per bag weighing 30 kg. The required amount of water is poured into the container, the plaster is also poured there. Then everything is mixed well (manually or with a mixer) until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.

plaster mortar

Subsequent addition of water or a dry mixture is prohibited in an already prepared solution.

The solution is suitable for use. It must be used within 20 minutes.

Using

"Rotgips" - plaster, which is applied to the surface in one or two layers. Each layer should be 6-30 mm thick. If 2 layers are applied, then on the first one it is necessary to make notches, while it has not yet dried up. This can be done with a comb (spatula). This will improve adhesion between the layers. When the first coat dries, a second coat is applied.

The finished solution is applied to the base and leveled with a spatula. In order for the solution to dry faster than dry, good ventilation must be provided in the room.

An hour after mixing, the plaster is trimmed. At this stage, you can lay tiles.

And after an hour and a half, the mixture is moistened. A sponge grater is suitable for this. The wet surface is rubbed and smoothed in a circular motion with a metal spatula. Such a surface can be pasted with wallpaper.

A glossy surface can be obtained by re-smoothing. To do this, during the day (but without fail to pass more than 2 hours after mixing), the surface is again moistened and smoothed. After this treatment, the base is ready for painting.

Rothgips plaster can be used as a decorative coating. Having processed the still-hardened layer with the tools that create the texture, you will get a textured surface of the desired texture. You can use special rollers, trowel, spatulas.

Another opportunity to work with this plaster is to apply a three-dimensional drawing. As a rule, stencils are used for these purposes.
