As a rule, in our apartments people use a loggia or a balcony for other purposes. Washed clothes dry there, all rubbish and other irrelevant objects lie, while there is a catastrophic lack of free space in the house. We mount them tightly on all surfaces, after which we put a layer of mineral wool. Now we sheathe the walls and ceiling with drywall, and on the floor we mount sheets of durable plywood.
A heat source that heats the entire office
On the balcony, as a rule, it is not customary to install batteries, boilers and other technical devices that emit heat. It is also worth noting that you can immediately exclude all kinds of steam devices and systems, since they cannot work on the balcony for safety reasons. That is why the best solution would be a new type of electric heater. It can become invisible in some corner, or you can attach it to the ceiling, which will greatly save space. In addition, such devices quickly heat the air, especially in such a small room as a loggia, and you can turn it off at any time, as soon as the need for heat is exhausted. If desired, you can build a so-called underfloor heating, which will be more expensive, but the most acceptable option.
What view does your study have on the balcony?
The design of the workroom should always comply with certain psychological standards. This is necessary so that you can focus on work, and not think about other things. So, within the framework of such a loggia, a table, a comfortable armchair, racks and shelves for books will be appropriate. To exclude from this is various poufs, sofas, couches, bedside tables, in a word, everything that we associate with relaxation and leisure. A controversial issue is the presence of flowers in a similar area of the apartment. Someone believes that the study on the balcony must certainly be green, as the plants emit oxygen, which is necessary for the full functioning of the brain. In the design of the workspace it is better to use a beige range, ivory, light brown with a grayish or pinkish tinge (depending on your taste). A few tones should be darker than the floor covering, which can be a laminate, piece parquet or just linoleum.
Instead of curtains on the windows we install blinds. In order not to use standard metal planks, we take into account the opportunity to buy bamboo curtains or fabric curtains that rise and fall like blinds. All furniture can be matched to the walls, be a little lighter or darker than them, but in the same color scheme.
Light and shadow - how to maintain balance?
In order for you to focus on important issues, it is worth choosing the type of lighting correctly. As a rule, the study on the balcony (photos are presented in the article) is equipped with local light sources, that is, the lamp is on the table, individual lamps are placed on the walls, on the shelves, and so on. In such a room in no case should you hang one common chandelier on the ceiling. But a much better alternative would be to place several spotlights, which will be directed not up, but to the sides. Thus, the walls will be illuminated from top to bottom, which will visually expand the boundaries of a small space. In this case, you can no longer purchase separate light sources for shelves and stands. Just buy the most suitable desk lamp in style, and the thing is in the hat.
Putting everything in its place
For maximum concentration, you will need to mark out as many books, papers and, of course, equipment on the loggia. If this computer is not the only one in your house, and you will use it only and only at work, it is advisable to limit access to social networks, games and other applications on it. Just as all the programs you have to deal with should be placed on the desktop of your computer, so all folders, books and directories should be conveniently and accessible on the shelves. A minimum of accessories, souvenirs and photographs within the framework - and you yourself will notice how the new workplace in the house will be attractive to you, and with it all the things that you have to do only there.
