So what is the problem? You can build a pool with your own hands, spending, of course, a certain amount of time, effort and money. But believe me, it's worth it. Moreover, it is not necessary to hire workers, because all the work can be done independently, although at some stages additional help will be needed.
Where to start construction of pools with your own hands?
First of all, you need to choose a place where your pool will be located. Even if you want it to be very large, it is likely that your site will not find the right space. Please note that the pool should not be located under trees or even close to them. And the point here is not only that the leaves will fall, just the roots that begin to reach for water can cause damage to the structure, more precisely, the waterproofing of the pool. Choose a place with a slight slope, this will allow in the future to drain the water faster. Well, of course, it would be best if your pool is located as close to the water supply as possible.
On the eve of construction, you need to purchase everything you need. If you are going to make a quality pool, then you should buy a ready-made design for it, which then will only be installed around the perimeter of the dug pit.
How to build a do-it-yourself pool
Of course, if you do not have time and desire to do something, then you can buy a regular inflatable pool and use it. Despite the fact that it is not convenient enough, in addition, the depth in it is limited, you can somehow learn how to use it. Nevertheless, it is best to build a beautiful, luxurious pool with your own hands. Actually, the construction process itself looks something like this:
- Determine the shape of the pool. It can be round, diamond-shaped, but the ideal shapes are square and rectangular, since working with them is much easier.
- Based on the size of the pool structure that you bought in advance, we begin to dig a pit. The easiest way to do this is with an ordinary shovel, although, of course, it will take much more time than a special technique would do this work.
- Next, we lay tires around the perimeter of the pit, which will simplify the installation of pool stiffness elements.
- To create a beautiful pool with your own hands, stiffeners must be installed in the unfolded tires. Make sure that they are installed evenly and at the same distance from each other. It is very important.
- We proceed to install metal or plastic (depending on what you bought) the sides. This is best done in calm, calm weather. Here you will need the help of another person - he holds the sheet, and the second inserts its lower part into the tire. To keep the sides firmly held, they need to be lowered slightly on top of each other and fixed with bolts.
- We continue to monitor how to build a pool with our own hands. It is time to make holes in one place for the pool wall for the filter, which will purify the water. Optionally, you can make a drain hole in the bottom of the pool, but here you will need a pipe that will drain the water. - The upper sharp edges of the walls, if they are metal, should be treated with a strong tape so that they do not tear the film.
- Tamp the bottom and cover it with a layer of sand. If desired, it can be poured with concrete for greater reliability.
- Now we line the created pool with our own hands with waterproofing material, which can be a regular film. We fix the film on the walls of the pool, making sure that there is a minimum number of folds.
