Currently, the subway is the most developed and convenient transportation network. Every year, multimillion-dollar cities try to increase the number of stations, expand routes, create more convenient conditions for overcoming distances underground. Not the last place in this race is the capital of our country - Moscow. Let us dwell on it in more detail. Consider the situation typical of today, and evaluate the development prospects that the new metro scheme suggests.

Changes in the subway can best be seen on the metro map. For comparison, we analyze the schemes of different years. It is interesting to recall what the metro was like back in the days of the Soviet Union, back in 1935. The first metro scheme looked like this - see the photo below.
The movement was carried out in only one line and it went from the Sokolniki station to the Park of Culture. The length of the entire route was about 12 kilometers. The first underground road had one branch, it departed from the Okhotny Ryad station and closed at a point called Smolenskaya. Two years later, he was extended to the Kievskaya station.
It must be admitted that the construction of underground railways has acquired rapid character. Almost every year, new stations replenished the scheme, and already in 1938 a second line of traffic was launched. Immediately after the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, large-scale planning for the development of the ring road began, and in the winter of 1950 the first train was launched along it. A new metro scheme has become available to passengers, with five roundabout stations.
The second half of the twentieth century
Let us now look at the end of the twentieth century. The construction is carried out all in the same global size, the expansion of the underground communication system is in an enhanced mode. The city is being built, growing, actively populating, so a developed transport system that could easily and quickly deliver a passenger to any part of the city is simply vital.
An interesting fact is that the usual version of the metro scheme was designed in the 80s of the last century. Over time, it underwent some changes, supplemented and reprinted when new stations appeared, but, in general, its basic design was preserved.
Metro map 2015
The 21st century was marked by no less discoveries in the metro area, new metro stations are appearing . The scheme of subway transport routes in 2002 for the first time crosses the border of the capital and goes beyond the Moscow ring road, the station “Boulevard Dm. Donskoy. " At the end of next year, the Butovo line opens, and a year later the monorail transport system is launched in the Northeast Administrative District.
Now let's look into the near future. According to the plan and the order of the Government of Moscow, the new metro scheme 2015 will look something like the one shown below.

The project provides that the lines of travel will be significantly unloaded. Residents of the capital and its guests will be able to get to work, on various matters, and to any destination without crowding and crowding in crowded wagons. The underground will receive a number of advantages over other modes of transport: the passenger flow in the morning and evening hours will decrease, due to the increase in the length of some branches, transport lines will be unloaded, which will allow more freedom to move. Transitions connecting nearby stations will become more convenient and shorter. The route scheme will be improved, so it will not be necessary to go to some stations with two or three transfers. At stations with one exit, additional doors and turnstiles will be installed. Due to the lengthening of underground tracks, the extension of routes outside the Moscow Ring Road and the emergence of new metro stations, residents of remote areas will be able to get to the capital and back without "change lanes." For example, Mitino can be reached in just 30 minutes.
Moscow 2020
It is difficult to talk about the distant future, but, according to the projects, we can say with confidence about the following changes that the new metro scheme will undergo. Moscow 2020 on it will look like in the photo below.
According to the projects under discussion, the underground road network will expand even further. New stations will appear on it, which are planned to be opened in the territories joining the Moscow region as well. This year alone, over 100 billion rubles will be allocated for the development of the subway. When, where and what points will be opened, the Moscow Government will decide in accordance with the submitted development plan for the Moscow subway. Also, the new metro scheme will please many passengers with the opening of the second exit at some stations where it is required (Sokolniki, Komsomolskaya, Victory Park), and the extension of the Solntsevskaya, Butovskaya and Zamoskvoretskaya metro lines until 2020.
