Tags on clothes - what is it?
Shopping for many people is a very exciting experience. Sometimes we do
not pay attention to the
tags on the clothes. The designation of a recommendation for caring for a thing is nevertheless very important to understand. After all, sometimes it happens that, having washed our favorite blouse, we are horrified to notice that it has turned into a miniature rag or shed.
Therefore, when buying fashionable things, always pay attention to a special small label with symbols. It is sewn along the seam on the left side, slightly above the bottom of the product. It should be noted that if a thing is a short top, then the manufacturer fastens the tag under the chest. For a mini-skirt, such a label is sewn at the waist, for a long dress - under a label with a mark on the back or at the level of the knees.
Why do we need signs on clothing tags?
Special labels contain the following information:
- brief information about the manufacturer of the product;
- fabric structure;
- recommendations for washing, ironing and drying.
The better the item, the more detailed information on caring for it will be attached to it, since the manufacturer has put a lot of work into its manufacture.
Clothing without special labels is better not to buy. After all, this indicates that it was made, most likely, in some underground factory from low-quality fabric.
Basic marks on clothing tags
The most common badges found on clothing tags are:
- Water temperature during washing. Drawn basin with indicated temperature. If the dash is not shown below, then machine or hand wash is allowed. If you have one dash, you can wash things at minimum speed, two - the machine must be set to "Wool" mode.
- Exceptionally hand wash. This recommendation is portrayed as a hand in water.
- Drying in the washing machine. It is indicated by a circle in a square. If the circle contains one small dot, then the products must be dried at very low temperatures. When this figure is crossed out, it is strictly forbidden to dry things in a machine. Two points in the circle allow drying at high temperatures.
- Options for ironing. Drawn iron with one, two or three dots. This means respectively: ironing with a warm, hot or very hot appliance.
- Dry cleaning. It is indicated by such a geometric figure as a circle. If it is not crossed out, this means that dry cleaning (that is, without water) with special solvents can be applied to the products. A circle with a cross indicates that there is no need for such dry cleaning, that is, you can safely use water and not worry that the product will lose its shape or color.
- Triangle on clothing tags. It carries information about bleaches.
Triangle on clothes tags what does it mean?
This geometric figure represents a separate group of signs that indicate the correct whitening of things. So, the triangle on the clothing tag means that the product is allowed to bleach by any special means.
If this figure contains several strips, then this indicates that things can only be bleached with oxygen compounds.
A triangle on clothing tags with two letters of the Latin alphabet CL indicates that only chlorine bleaches are allowed.
But sometimes the crossed out above figure is found on the tags. This means that the product must not be bleached.
Marking on the labels of things, sometimes imperceptible and very small, carries extremely important information about the rules of operation of the product.
