Pitsunda
This city is ideal for a leisurely family holiday. It is notable for the almost complete absence of active partying, only numerous boarding houses located along the coast arrange funny animation programs for their guests. The beaches are wide, mostly pebble, and centuries-old pine trees descend to the sea itself. Their purity and few people admire.
A grove of Pitsunda pine trees approaches the city from all sides, filling the air with unique substances. It is this resort that offers the highest quality recreation in Abkhazia. It is also not difficult to find the private sector without intermediaries, although the number of offers is significantly inferior to Gagram and Sukhum. Those who choose a vacation in Abkhazia for themselves, often consider the private sector by the sea as the only possible accommodation option. The size of Pitsunda is so small that almost the entire residential sector is located near the sea. The vast majority of tourists return from there, completely satisfied with their stay. The only drawback is the insufficient number of ATMs.
New Athos
Not only is this mountainous country remarkable for its beaches. Ancient castles and monasteries will make a truly memorable vacation in the Republic of Abkhazia. Athos, whose private sector is now especially in demand, will serve as an excellent starting point for exploring Christian shrines.

About fifty kilometers from the Abkhaz capital, between the high mountains and the Black Sea coast, in the shade of vineyards and tangerine groves lies the cozy resort of Gudauta. Thousands of tourists pass it on the way to one of the most beautiful lakes in the world - Lake Ritsa.
But not too many tourists choose it as a place to relax. And it is completely in vain, because it is in the outback that you can understand what kind of real Abkhazia it is. The private sector by the sea in Gudauta can be rented for very little money. Along with the simplest rooms without amenities, guests of Gudauta can be offered chic apartments with air conditioning and round-the-clock hot water.
Among the shortcomings, tourists note the service, which has long stopped in its development, poorly developed infrastructure and almost complete lack of entertainment. But the cleanest sea, tart mountain air and beautiful nature more than compensate for the lack of benefits of civilization.
