It is unlikely that now there is a gamer who would not hear about the game Dark Souls. This project immediately after the release made a lot of noise and made a splash. The fact is that modern computer games are most often aimed at average players who are taken by the hand and lead along the storyline, simplifying the game process as soon as possible. Many do not even remember, or maybe they didn’t find the times when three lives were given in the game, and if they were wasted, it doesn’t matter what stage of the game you were at, it ended. No save, no help - just a player and a game world full of dangers. The creators of Dark Souls decided to do what many developers were afraid of - to create a hardcore project that will force gamers to pass the same level dozens of times in attempts to achieve at least some success. And the idea was extremely successful - the game found a huge number of its fans. Naturally, the developers gradually reached for this branch of the games - first, independent creators who still do not have a reputation that could be spoiled by an unsuccessful release, and then serious developers. And in October 2014, the first Dark Souls clone appeared - Lords of the Fallen. The system requirements of this project, its release date, as well as some details of the game itself will be described later.
Getting to know the game

So, the most important thing about this project has already been said - this is a hardcore role-playing game, which in many respects resembles Dark Souls, but at the same time has an originality, its own zest, which makes people acquire it and play. What is so special about Lords of the Fallen? System requirements can be left for later, but for now focus on the project itself. You play the role of an inveterate criminal Harkin in a fantasy world. Here, all your bad achievements are reflected on the face of your hero in the form of special runes, and the rulers of the world are going to do something terrible with people like Harkin. But here comes the attack of the gods on humanity - and you find yourself at large, with weapons in your hands and with a chance of forgiveness. To do this, you will have to go into a parallel dimension and fight horrible demons. Naturally, all this will be at an incredible level of hardcore, and the game implements a system of frequent saves so that you do not lose your progress when you pass through one or another stage of the game Lords of the Fallen a dozen times. At the same time, system requirements will not allow everyone to play.
operating system
Modern games, unfortunately, do not support the Windows XP system, which was incredibly popular a couple of years ago. Now, after it, Vista and the seventh and eighth Windows have already managed to get out. It is they who are suitable for playing Lords of the Fallen - system requirements clearly indicate that you can not run this project on XP. Therefore, you need to carefully look at the requirements when you run this game or any other, but it is easier to immediately install one of the new versions of the OS. Indeed, almost all current games already refuse to support XP, so you will deprive yourself of a huge number of opportunities if you stick to this old version. For the Lords of the Fallen, which we are reviewing, an outdated version of the OS will not work, so you still have to reinstall to start this project. So it makes no sense to try to do something and cling to something.
CPU

However, the operating system is far from the only requirement that you will need to comply to play Lords of the Fallen - a review of the components will present you with some surprises. The fact is that this project is extremely demanding - it has very realistic graphics, as well as a powerful engine, and all this requires a good computer. Therefore, you need to consider in detail each of the basic components, starting with the processor. For the game to work at minimum settings, you will need a processor whose frequency will be at least 3 GHz. But this is only for minimal settings, and if you want to get everything from the game that it can offer you, then you will need to have a processor with a frequency of four gigahertz. The requirements are sky-high by the standards of at least last year, but this year everything has changed quite a lot - a big step forward has been taken. Therefore, do not be surprised - many large projects in 2014 have similar requirements, or even higher. But Lords of the Fallen is definitely on the list of the most demanding games to date.
RAM
So, with the processor, the question is clear, now it's time to switch to RAM - one of the most important components for launching not only computer games, but also any other programs. This memory is used to start and maintain the functioning of everything on the computer. And Lords of the Fallen is such a demanding game that you won’t be able to run it unless you have six gigabytes of RAM. Naturally, these are only the minimum requirements to run on the weakest settings. But for maximum pleasure you will need eight gigabytes of RAM. You can, of course, refuse such a proposal, but you must understand that now this figure may seem fantastic, but next year it will begin to become the norm. We can say that for Lords of the Fallen, the PC system requirements are a definite benchmark for what they will be in the future.
Video card
Of course, with those landscapes that the game offers, you will need a powerful card with a large amount of video memory. The minimum requirements are 1 GB, but, of course, you better start with two at once, because with one you are unlikely to experience all the emotions that you could get at maximum settings. This, perhaps, is enough to talk about what the system requirements for Lords of the Fallen should be, the release date on PC and consoles is also important.
release date
There are two release dates for this game - the first of them is the main one, October 28, 2014. It was then that Lords of the Fallen appeared on the shelves in the United States and Europe. However, this only applies to the version for the personal computer, on consoles the game was released three days later, on October 31 of that year. Naturally, this difference is not so great, especially given the fact that there was no spread across countries - only in Australia the game was released on the 31st, that is, at the same time when it was on consoles.
