The modern market is replete with an abundance of various solutions for interior decoration . This wallpaper and decorative plaster, and paint, and much more. Laminated panels can also be added to this list. Few people among those not involved in the construction industry have heard of them. But they are worth considering as an alternative to traditional methods of cosmetic decoration.
Laminated wall panels are a facing material. They are designed for interior decoration. Their main advantage is high strength. This is achieved by the outer layer of the material, which is a laminate. This property, together with an abundance of color solutions, allows not only to create a beautiful
decoration of the walls in the room, but also to obtain a strong, reliable and durable decorative coating.
Depending on what is used for their manufacture, they are divided into laminated plastic, particleboard, fiberboard and MDF panels . All these materials have their own characteristics, i.e. they all have their own advantages and disadvantages. But nevertheless, the laminating layer is of the utmost importance. It is he who determines the final operational performance of the finishing material.
Laminated panels have a number of advantages. For instance:
- High wear resistance. The material is not afraid of friction and other influences that could spoil the decorative layer.
- Light fastness. Panels do not fade when exposed to direct sunlight.
- Frost resistance. This property allows you to use this type of decoration materials in seasonal rooms. For example, in a country house.
- Strength characteristics. Laminated panels are a sturdy material. They are distinguished by good bending performance and high impact resistance.
- Lack of toxicity. Since most often this material is used for interior decoration, such an indicator is of great importance, because nothing can be more expensive than human health.
- Fire safety. Laminating panels are non-combustible materials.

Another advantage of this material is the ease of installation. There are two ways to fix it to the wall: it is adhesive and using fasteners. The first of them can be made either directly on the wall itself, or on a pre-prepared wooden crate. It all depends on the quality of the surface. The second method involves the mandatory installation of the crate.
Separately, it is worth noting that laminated panels can be fixed to the crate using invisible and visible fasteners. In the first case, rear edge dowels or riveting rods are used. In the second case, bolts or other fasteners of riveting type are used. If the panels are used for decoration of seasonal premises, it should be borne in mind that the material can change its dimensions under the influence of temperature. In this case, the mounting holes should be slightly wider.
