In principle, the structure of a homemade laser in a flashlight is no different from the laser device in a lighter. It is only necessary to take into account the power supply, which almost never exceeds 3 V, and it is also desirable to build an additional voltage regulator. It will increase the life of the
laser. It is very important to consider the polarity of the diode and stabilizer.
