When building a new house, attention is always paid to two things - high-quality thermal insulation and heating systems. And if many people do not have special problems with the choice of heat-insulating material, then with the choice of the right boiler it is just the opposite. Today we would like to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of combined furnaces. We also find out their power and average price.
What is especially this heating?
The combined boiler is a conventional stove, more similar to a wood or gas stove, in which several energy sources can be used at once. Most often it is gas and diesel fuel. There is also a combined gas + firewood heating boiler , however it is less popular and in demand on the Russian market. Thus, the main feature of this stove is its ability to work with several types of energy, which neither gas nor wood counterparts can boast of.
Application and Benefits
Such heating (combined boiler) in country cottages and summer cottages, where gas supply interruptions often occur, is especially in demand. And even if the main source of energy has ceased to be supplied to the system, the boiler will quickly switch to autonomous operation and will provide the same heat and maintain a constant temperature in the house (of course, in the presence of diesel fuel or firewood). In addition, this heating ( combined boiler ) is distinguished by its durability and reliability. Such furnaces fail much less often than the same gas ones.
Power
Unfortunately, versatility has left a negative mark on the performance of this device. Combined boilers, as a rule, have a 15-20 percent lower power than their full-fledged gas "brothers". Basically, the standard performance of such furnaces is about 30-40 kW.
Why is it dependent on electricity?
The main disadvantage of this device is not at all less power. The fact is that due to the use of a built-in fuel pump, a blower fan and other electrical devices, this tool simply cannot do without supplying direct current. Therefore, if not only gas but also light was turned off in the house, such a boiler will no longer work. As you can see, this furnace is not 100 percent autonomous,
like, for example, wood. If the current is not supplied for several days, there is a big risk that the water in the system and batteries will simply freeze. And it is unlikely that it will be possible to restore such heating (a combined boiler) in a few hours, even after the supply of electricity has resumed.
Material
In the production of these tools several types of metal are used at once. Depending on the type of part, it can be cast iron or steel.
How much do combined heating boilers cost?
Prices for these units range from 30 to 70 thousand rubles. However, for 40-45 thousand you can buy a completely normal and reliable boiler.
