Children's writer N. Nosov is known for short but highly instructive stories. A small work “Patch” is no exception. Nosov (a brief summary for the reader’s diary is given below) makes his little readers think that they always need to go to their intended goal, even if it’s not at all easy.
The plot of the story
The boy with the unusual name of Bobka had wonderful trousers of protective color - this is how the Nosov Patch begins his story. In a brief summary for the reader's diary, it must be noted that the boy was very proud of his pants - because in them he looked like a soldier. But once a nuisance happened: Bobka tore his pants when he climbed over the fence and snagged on a nail. Of course, he was very upset and even nearly burst into tears. And then he went to his mother in the hope that she would sew up her pants.
Unexpected turn
But mother refused to sew a patch. Nosov (in summary for the reader’s diary there is no way to fully convey her dialogue with the boy) emphasizes that it was important for mom to teach her son to be responsible for her actions and correct mistakes herself.
At first Bobka waved his hand at the hole and went to the same pants in the street. And he even tried to make excuses to the guys laughing at the torn pants that this was my mother's fault. However, he felt ashamed when his friends said that the soldiers themselves should be able to sew a button and put on a patch. Nosov - a brief summary for the reader’s diary will prove it - it was important to make his hero realize that he was wrong and begin to act independently.
And yet he managed
Shamed by friends, Bobka returned home and asked his mother for a needle with a thread and a suitable shred. He cut out a patch of the right size and got down to business.
Oh, and it turned out to be difficult - Bobka punched all his fingers, as he was in a hurry! When the patch was sewn, Bobka looked at the results of his work. And he didn’t like them very much, emphasizes the author of Patch, Nikolai Nosov. In a brief summary for the reader’s diary, the reason for this can be noted: the patch was bristling, and the leg with a hole was wrinkled so much that now it looked shorter than the other.
Bobka grumbled with displeasure and set to work again: first he ripped off the patch, then carefully straightened it and put it to the hole. For fidelity, he inked the patch and picked up the needle. Now he sewed slowly and made sure not to go over the line. It took a long time, of course, but when I finished, I admired the work: the patch was sewn smoothly and almost tightly. Bobka put on his pants and went outside.
Hero Bobka
The guys surrounded their friend and looked at the fruits of his labor. Now, none of them concealed admiration: after all, the patch circled in ink made it clear that Bobka himself sewed it.
But Bobka turned to the guys in the pants, which he himself sewed up, and reasoned that now he could easily cope with the button, if, of course, she ever came off. Thus ends the story itself and in the same way it is possible to finish the brief content of Nosov's “Patch”. For the reader’s diary, it remains only to add that the main idea of the story is as follows: thanks to the efforts and efforts made, it is always possible to achieve the intended goal, no matter how difficult and unrealizable it may seem.
