The most popular material for construction is wood. It has been used since ancient times, and not only for the construction of houses, but also for the manufacture of ships, household items and other various products. It should be noted that the technology of wood processing has not changed much since then, although new tools and materials have appeared that can greatly simplify this process.
However, most modern people do not manufacture wood products, but this does not mean that they do not purchase them for their needs. This usually raises the question of how to soak a tree. This is due to the fact that most of these products are structures that require further processing, especially protection against moisture or various pests.
Processing wood before using it for its intended purpose should be done so that the finished product does not absorb moisture during operation, which will lead to curvature and rapid failure. There are also such impregnations for wood, which include antibacterial components that prevent the appearance of mold and fungus.
Twenty years ago, for this purpose we used the usual drying oil, which did a good job of this task. However, it dried for a long time, had a characteristic smell and stuck to her hands. It should also be noted that this tool cannot penetrate deeply into the structure of the processed material, which means that such protection is superficial.
Modern wood impregnations have a high degree of absorption. They penetrate into the material to a depth of several centimeters, which makes such processing better and more reliable. At the same time, they dry quickly and do not stick to hands.
Unlike drying oils, modern wood impregnations have good primer properties. Paint lays well on them, and some masters prefer to add a little dye directly to them. Thus, the product is painted a couple of centimeters inward, which, with minor damage during use, helps to avoid visible scratches and even cracks.

Wood is used for various purposes and under different climatic conditions. Therefore, each individual product should be subjected to its own processing. Usually, modern wood impregnations have universal properties, but there are specialized materials that have special properties designed for specific conditions. For example, they are able to withstand salt water, they are fireproof, highly resistant to pests and even decorative (giving the tree a look of antiquity). Before acquiring a particular impregnation, you should carefully study the instructions for it. In it, you can also learn about the method of applying liquid to wood, and about what temperature conditions should be observed until completely dry.
Thus, modern impregnations significantly exceeded the previously used drying oil. They are reliable, high quality and easy to use.
