The universe of "Harry Potter" is so densely filled with different characters that inevitably you can forget about some of them. Alekto Carrow is the woman who, with her actions and behavior, causes a huge amount of disgust, which is remembered by all fans. Learn more about it below.
Appearance and character
It is difficult to find in all seven books “about the boy who survived” such a woman that in her cruelty would be compared to Alekto Carrow. Only everyone knows Bellatrix Lestrange, but a separate story can be dedicated to her. Alekto looks like a stocky woman, she has slouching shoulders, and her face is deprived of beauty.
Short fingers should be added to this and the picture will not be the most pleasant. On her left forearm is the Death Eater mark, which is a sign of proximity to Voldemort. Alekto did not stand out with great intelligence, which can be seen from the way she taught at Hogwarts. Her favorite pastime was punishing students in the most sophisticated ways. Muggle this antihero hated with all his heart, called people without the ability to conjure dirty animals.
Oblivion and return
Amikus and Alecto Carrow can be considered the indigenous Death Eaters, because they were one of the first to join the Dark Lord after the outbreak of his terror. In the first war of wizards, they served him faithfully, but after the loss of Voldemort, they believed in his death. They went underground and did not make themselves felt for a long time.

At that moment, many of their allies were imprisoned in Azkaban to serve a life sentence. They managed to avoid this, and after the return of the Dark Lord in the fourth book, brother and sister Carrow immediately answered the call. They sincerely rejoiced that their leader was able to regain his body and his strength. For them, the struggle for the superiority of sorcerers around the world was a matter of a lifetime, plus no one limited them in using their own skills. It should be noted that few women were honored to receive the title of Death Eater. Alecto Carrow for his devotion and ancient "clean" pedigree was accepted into the ranks of associates of Voldemort, who completely obeyed him.
Significant appearances
Alekto Carrow in "Harry Potter" first appeared in the sixth book. According to the plot, it was June 1997, when Hogwarts was attacked. Then Draco Malfoy managed to open the passage to the school through a special cabinet in the disappearing room. The attack was succeeded, and it ended with the death of the legendary director Albus Dumbledore at the hands of Severus Snape.

With his passing, the resistance to the dark forces was almost completely destroyed, and at this triumphant moment, Alecto Carrow fought against the teachers with students in the school. Death Eaters managed to escape under the leadership of Snape without any loss. In the same 1997, the Ministry of Magic was taken completely under control. Accordingly, Hogwarts also came under the jurisdiction of Voldemort, who appointed Severus Snape as director. At the beginning of the seventh book, the Dark Lord kills Professor of Magloology Charity Burbridge , and Alekto is sent to her place in school. Since then, all the lessons for students have changed a lot, and the only right strategy was to humiliate Muggles in the eyes of future wizards.
Completion of the story
Death Eater Alekto Carrow tried her best to inspire students with the idea that people without magical abilities are just rubbish and worthy of worse treatment. Neville Dolgopups and some other students often objected to her in the classroom, which is why they received a portion of torment from the cruciate spell.

This was a standard practice that Amikus also actively used. His Dark Lord and his sister sent as a new professor to Hogwarts. In 1998, Voldemort gave Alekto Carrow an important task to protect the living room of the Ravenclaw faculty. It was there that Harry Potter was supposed to infiltrate in search of another crucifix to destroy the Dark Lord. She managed to get there only with the help of Professor Flitwick, but the ambush was a success. Harry Potter did not expect to see any of the Death Eaters in the room, and therefore fell into a trap. Alekto summoned Voldemort with a mark on her hand, but fell under the spell of Luna Lovegood. Amicus soon arrived in time, but Minerva McGonagall arrived on time and coped with the situation. That is why Carrow did not participate in the future battle.
