Going on a trip, business trip or on a visit to another city, people most often prefer a mode of transport such as a train. This is due to the fact that for a relatively reasonable price you can comfortably get to your destination. Moreover, if you go at night, you can also sleep. It remains only to determine which type of carriage suits you best: CB (sleeping), compartment or reserved seat carriage.
Its distribution into three types of cars is determined by the degree of comfort, which, of course, affects the ticket price. SV class wagons are considered the most comfortable, they have the least seats, good service. Usually equipped with air conditioning and other amenities. Compartments belong to the category of the middle class. Such a car is usually equipped with nine compartments. A compartment is a small room designed for four seats, with the ability to separate from the main aisle. That is, you can close the door by blocking yourself from passing people (guides or fellow travelers). In appearance, a compartment car is very similar to a reserved seat. A middle-class carriage is very popular when traveling long distances, that is, those that last more than a day.

Tickets for reserved seats are the most affordable, and therefore are in great demand among students and low-income families. As a rule, from mid-September to mid-May, students can purchase discounted tickets to these places. It is very convenient for nonresident youth.
Seats in the reserved seat are an order of magnitude greater than in the compartment carriage. This is due to the fact that there is no partition from the main passage, due to which, in front of each compartment of the four places, there are two additional ones. How many seats in a reserved seat car are easy to calculate. If there are 36 in the compartment, then in the reserved seat is 1.5 times more. Consequently, there are 54 seats in the reserved seat car, of which 36 are compartment and the remaining 18 are side. At the same time, it is believed that the side seats are worse, especially among the people they do not like the 38th place due to the fact that it is located on the upper shelf, and even near the vestibule with a toilet.

Numbering of seats in a reserved seat car is determined as follows. The lower shelves are an odd number, the upper ones are an even number. In this case, the first 36 places are numbered from left to right, and starting from the 37th - from right to left. The first compartment of the reserved seat car, which is located next to the guide room, is seats 1-4 and 53, 54. And the last opening, located at the other end of the car next to the toilet, is 33-38 seats. In short-range trains, a reserved seat car can be used as a general one. Tickets for it are sold without a specific location.

The reserved seat car is equipped with two toilets with washbasins, a closing double compartment for conductors, a service compartment, and a titan water samovar. Above each top shelf in the car is an additional, third, where you can find a mattress and pillows. In the winter season, the conductor, along with bedding, gives out blankets. Below the lower seat is a luggage niche. There is a table in the compartment. The lower side seats are easily transformed from a berth to two seats with a table in the middle.
The main disadvantage of the reserved seat car is that it is not possible to isolate yourself from people passing by.
