Modeling develop fine motor skills and have a positive effect on the formation of speech. It is important to arouse interest in this type of activity. To do this, sculpt what arouses interest in the child. As a rule, children love animals and birds, so a plasticine bird is the most suitable option for classes at the initial level.
What is necessary for work
It is advisable to make sure in advance that the house has everything that is needed for modeling, namely:
- Plasticine. For kids it is better to choose a set with bright colors and soft material.
- Stacks. The simplest are made of plastic. You can buy wood, although at the initial level this is not necessary.
- Plastic table mat. It facilitates the cleaning process after class.
- An apron for a child.
When everything is cooked, you can sculpt crafts from plasticine. Birds are cartoonish or close in appearance to the real ones. The first ones are easier to manufacture, so it's better to start with them.
How to make a simple craft
The cartoon character must have a sign by which it will be possible to say exactly who he is: a beast, a person, a robot, or something else. In this case, the defining signs will be the wings and beak. They must be recognizable. Plasticine bird is made as follows:
- Plasticine can be crushed a little to make it softer. After that, roll an oval - this will be the body of the bird.
- You can decorate it by rolling a smaller oval and flattening it into a cake. Attach it to the body - it will be a breast.
- To make two “drops” and flatten them are wings. Feathers can be drawn in a stack or laid out in strips of contrasting color.
- For the eyes, two small balls of white plasticine should be rolled up, sticking dots on them - the pupils.
- The beak can be made in the form of a small cone or oval.
- The simplest version of the legs is two round cakes, on which fingers are marked with a stack.
Complicated Option
Since you can mold a bird from plasticine in different ways, after mastering a simple option it is advisable to try a more complex one. The finished toy will not just be a bird, a certain kind must be recognized in it.
One of the most recognizable birds is the woodpecker. To make it, you need only 3 colors. The sequence of actions when sculpting a woodpecker:
- Take black plasticine, make two parts: a small oval (this is the future head) and a larger drop-shaped, which will become the body.
- Make two flat “drops” of black color, decorate them with white transverse stripes. A plasticine bird should have wings that are as close as possible in color to the wings of a real woodpecker.
- Attach parts to the body.
- Make a strip of white and stick it on the chest. On the head, make two marks, on top - round black pupils.
- To fix a thin red cone on the head, this will be the beak.
- On top of the head should make a red "hat" - a small oval cake or longitudinal crest.
- To tail a lot of flat "drops" of white and black. Alternating them, form a tail.
- The paws are made of red plasticine. Inside, you can insert a wire so that a bird of plasticine can stay on a branch.
Modeling is very useful. To maintain the child’s interest in them, the tasks should be gradually complicated, moving from simple products to more complex ones.
