Star Craft: Heart Of The Swarm
PC strategies have been associated with this series of games for several years now. Star Craft has long won the favor of many professional e-gamers and amateurs alike. It is distinguished by its own system of balance, economic and military components. The last parts of the game are famous for their massive battles and the main storyline, which tells about dramatic events unfolding both at the galactic level and between Kerrigan and Jim Raynor. The graphic component of the project is also pleasing. Everything is done at the highest level: decals, particles, units, environment, effects and the physics engine - everything is done with zeal and love. The last part, serving as an add-on called "Heart Of The Swarm!", Nevertheless makes significant changes to the gameplay, not to mention the continuation of the main storyline. Here, the user will have the opportunity to feel like a leader of the Zerg, understand their infrastructure and system of thinking, look at all the events on their part. The protagonist is Kerrigan - the leader of the whole flock. Also in the new version of each faction, new types of units will be added, expanding the combat capabilities. The game has a peculiar system of pumping units, where the user will need to make a choice in favor of one of two modifications. As you progress through the story, Kerrigan will gain strength and discover new abilities. Thus, the strategies on PC 2013 are primarily represented by Star Craft: Heart Of The Swarm.
XCOM: Enemy Within
This full-blown addition to the original XCOM: Enemy Unknown game has not yet been released. The release of the game is scheduled for November 12. A list of innovations and changes should please every fan of this series, because a lot of new things will be added to the game: a continuation of the main plot, a multiplayer component, new maps, equipment, units, and something else quite interesting. Scientists will go even further in their research and open up new possibilities for them - the integration of alien DNA into the human body. This will greatly expand the military weapons and abilities of soldiers (for example, the presence of a cybernetic exoskeleton). Such strategies on the PC are distinguished by an individual tactical component and a well-developed combat system.
Total War: Rome II
The best strategies of the year on PC cannot be presented without this game, which is the crown of the creation of the Creative Assembly studio. This is a remake of the first part of Rome, largely complemented and improved. The entire series of Total War games is primarily famous for its scale and epicness. Small skirmishes are simply not possible here. As a rule, during the battle on the screen does not fit all the units involved in the battle. Such strategies on the PC differ in the number of characters and the dynamics of what is happening. But tactics still play a significant role. Without it, victory is almost impossible.
