Troparevsky park - southwest of the capital

The location of Troparevsky Park is Moscow (southwest), near Ostrovityanova Street. You can get to it both by metro, and by bus or minibus going towards Leninsky Prospekt.

Troparevsky park

Troparevsky Park covers an area of about 515 hectares and is considered one of the most beautiful and cozy recreation areas in Moscow.

Founded in the sixties of the last century, it was first named after the 22nd Congress of the CPSU, but later it was renamed the Troparevsky landscape reserve in honor of the neighboring district of the same name, but Muscovites themselves call it just a recreation area. All trees here are under strict supervision, they are well looked after, making periodic planned planting of new plants. There are many birches and pines in the forest.

Landscape Reserve Troparevsky

In general, the Troparevsky park was created on the basis of a forest that stretches along the ring road to the suburbs. At first, only the central square was provided here, from which the alleys departed. Here one could see squirrels, hares, sometimes even moose were found, however today, when Troparevsky Park is built up on all sides with residential quarters, there are no long-haired ones, of course, but squirrels, moles and long-eared still come across.

There are also a huge number of birds that vacationers love to feed. The administration even arranged a special β€œbird town” near the square, where many decorative birds live in aviaries.

Since 2002, Troparevsky Park has become a state protected territory. Every year it becomes more beautiful and more comfortable: many gazebos have been built, fancy little bridges are thrown over ponds, playgrounds are broken.

Moscow southwest

On the Ochakovka river flowing through the park, there is a dam and a small pond, which immediately became a favorite place for residents of the surrounding areas.

You can swim in the pond, on its shore there is a beach with locker rooms and a "paddling pool" for the smallest. In the spring, there are many ducks with broods on the water, who by the fall fly away with the whole family to warm countries. There are a lot of fish in the pond: crucian carp, bream, roach and even perches.

In winter, ice holes for local β€œwalruses” are cut in the ice, and in the warmer months catamarans and boats float on the water surface. A walk along the pond is a favorite pastime for adults and children.

Nearby is a clear spring called "Cold", which has a chapel built, consecrated by Sergius of Radonezh. Muscovites consider this water to be healing, so they come here to collect it.

Troparevo in winter

On the square in the summer there are many attractions, the children ride electric cars and live horses.

In addition, Troparevsky Park also has special volleyball courts and a summer stage. Many folk holidays are held here - Shrovetide, City Day , etc.

Every year, the reserve hosts folk music festivals called Wild Mint.

In Troparevo there is something to do not only in the summer, but also in the winter. Here are great tracks for skiing, there is a good skating rink. Near the stage every winter there is a slide for sledding and inflatable balloons. Usually in winter it is very fun and noisy.

Troparevsky park is especially beautiful at every time of the year.
