Garden buildings make the site functional and attractive. There are several types of structures that will help to equip and transform the cottage. It’s not necessary to build them all, just select 2-3.
Varieties of buildings in the suburban area
They may be required or optional. There are also decorative buildings, the main purpose of which is to decorate the summer cottage, to give it an unforgettable look.
Mandatory buildings
Without them, life in the country is hard to imagine. Therefore, the arrangement of the site should begin precisely with them.
- The economic unit, or "change house". Garden building is necessary for storing tools and garden tools. Here you can also put a bicycle, a lawn mower, a pump, etc. For the construction of a hosblock, a brick, a wooden board, foam concrete, metal frames, etc. are used. The choice of material depends on the financial capabilities, as well as the skills and abilities of the master.
- Outdoor shower and country toilet. For construction, a wooden board, brick or foam block is suitable. In addition, you should pick up a water tank, and also equip a drain hole.
Additional buildings
When choosing them, you should focus on individual needs.
- Garage. Owners of personal cars can not do without this garden building. It is not necessary to build a capital shelter. It will be needed only if you visit the country house not only in summer but also in winter. In other cases, you can do with a coating of slate or polycarbonate. For the arrangement of capital shelter, a brick, a wooden beam and aerated concrete blocks are suitable.

- Cellar. Garden construction is necessary if you plan to store crops and conservation in the country. To build a cellar is permissible only after determining the level of groundwater. The optimal depth of the cellar is 2.5 meters. For construction, only the warm season is suitable - July or August. In areas with uneven terrain, the highest location should be selected for the cellar.
Decorative buildings
They will transform the site, give it personality. As decorations for the cottages fit:
- Bridge. The design will perfectly complement the pond or dry stream. For construction, wood or metal rods are used. The design consists of a base, support, supports, railings and handrails. Depending on the size, the bridge can consist of 3-5 levels.
- Patio. This is an open patio of a residential building. From different sides it is surrounded by bars, gates, walls, green hedges, etc. Here baskets and containers with live plants look great. The patio should be included in the overall project of the garden house, so that later there would be no problems with its arrangement.
- Swing. They can be located separately or be part of the gazebo. In order for the structure to be durable and not pose a danger to life, it must be built on a flat and solid surface. The best option is a plot filled with concrete. To create a structure, wood or metal parts are used. The seat is additionally equipped with foam rubber or synthetic winterizer.
Some tips
- Between the buildings and the living room, a sanitary zone of 10-15 meters should be maintained.
- Placement of country buildings should be rational. It is inappropriate to build a decorative bridge next to a country toilet or a chicken coop.
- Between the individual structures should be maintained at a distance of 1-2 meters.
