At present, it has become very popular among amateur gardeners to equip their plots with various sculptures. Even the most seemingly ordinary old bald tires can inspire a real masterpiece. Crafts made from tires, made with their own hands, not only favorably decorate the beds and paths, but can also be used as decorative flower beds. In addition, the costs are minimal, and the mass of pleasure. The main thing here is creative imagination and a little perseverance. In the summer cottages you can see wonderful flowerpots, swans, elephants, crocodiles and various fairy-tale characters. The most popular tire crafts are a frog, a turtle, a snake and, of course, a bright and colorful parrot.

In order to make a beautiful and unusual hanging parakeet, or as it is called a toucan, on your garden plot, it is enough to have one old tire. First, cut two rims in the center of the tire with a sharp knife. In order for the rubber to cut easily, periodically moisten the knife in cold water. Cut rims will be handles. These cuts are the only thing that will be done with a knife, then you will have to use a grinder. The disk must be taken with a diameter of at least 230. There is another little secret here - making crafts from tires with your own hands is best in windy weather. The thing is that rubber smokes very strongly and smells extremely unpleasant. It is better not to take a small grinder, the circles wear out very quickly. We bend the resulting handles to the side and cut the tire remaining after trimming the rim in half in the transverse part. Separate the head and tail of the parrot.

The area from which the front part of the planter will be formed should be shorter than the tail. Therefore, it is shortened, and a beak is cut from a cut piece of tire. To do this, just look at any photo of the parrot and draw a template as close as possible to the original. We apply it to the rubber and cut it out. We make a cut in the front part, where we then insert the beak. Now you need to turn the tire inside out. Very often, to make crafts from tires with your own hands, male strength is necessary, a cache-parrot is no exception. The trimmed edges of the head will greatly interfere and protrude. They can be pulled off with a large bolt. We drill a hole with a drill and insert the fixing bolt with washers. They are needed so that the bolt head does not slip through the stretched rubber. So at the same time the head is shaped and the beak is clamped. And the bolt also perfectly imitates the eyes of a bird. The tail can be decorated in different ways, cut into strips or made whole. It remains only to take the clamp and pull off the handles of the pots. On this the technical part is over.

Like all DIY crafts made from tires, a parrot requires a bright, catchy color scheme. You can use all kinds of colors and shades: blue, red, green, orange, white, black. We cover the handle rings with a simple varnish. The most difficult thing at this stage is to properly decorate your head. You can also use a photo of a real macaw parrot. Such muffler will become a bright exotic decoration of the site and will not go unnoticed. There are various crafts from tires: a parrot, a swan, a crocodile and others. All of them will create unique vivid compositions and significantly enliven the garden design.
