In the summer, during the holiday and vacation season, many people tend to leave the city and spend time with friends or relatives in nature. As a rule, traditional food for outdoor recreation is aromatic and mouth-watering barbecue. It is not difficult to cook it, but this seemingly uncomplicated matter has its own nuances. The first of them: what to cook meat on?
Charcoal barbecue is obtained with a light aroma of smoke and with an excellent natural taste. Birch charcoal for barbecue is sold in stores, and it is excellent as a fuel: it gives good heat and does not impregnate meat with odors. But just how to kindle coal for barbecue?
Seems to be complicated? But this is only at first glance: after all, in order to ignite coal, you need to create a rather high temperature, and for this you can not do without additional combustible materials. Fortunately, in the same shops that sell charcoal, liquid for burning coal is also sold.
The fluid is accompanied by instructions. It usually says how to light charcoal for barbecue with it. First, as a rule, coal is evenly laid out in a barbecue and lightly watered on top with this liquid. Then you should collect it up the hill and water again. It is necessary to try so that the kindling fluid gets only on the coal itself. It should be saturated with combustible material, so after the above steps you need to wait a couple of minutes, and only then set fire to it. It is better to do this with the help of special long matches or a fireplace lighter. However, a stick with a piece of paper at the end is also suitable.
A special liquid is an excellent tool, but if for some reason it is not there, then you can use other means. One of them is dry alcohol. If you have it at hand, then you need to do the following: decompose the coal in two or three layers on the barbecue, make one or more small funnels in a heap, put a cube of dry alcohol on the bottom of each funnel, and then set fire to alcohol. When the coals in the funnel catch fire, you need to pour more on top so that the others catch fire.
In addition to dry alcohol, fuel briquettes and a dry incendiary mixture are also sold, with which charcoal can be ignited in a similar way. These products are safer than the ignition fluid, as they do not flash, but burn evenly.
If there are no special substances that could help the coal catch fire, do not despair, and certainly you should not look for a replacement for them, like gasoline and other chemical combustible substances that are not suitable for this purpose. Coal can also be ignited with the help of an old tin can, in which the bottom and top should first be removed.
The jar needs to be put on the brazier, put the newspaper inside, and put coal on top. In addition to paper, you can take shavings, dry sticks and in general everything that can quickly do. Next, set fire to the newspaper from underneath the can and wait for the coals to catch fire. As soon as this happened, you should raise the jar and put more coals in order for the neighboring ones to catch fire too.
There are several other ways to make charcoal for barbecue without special liquid: using a hair dryer, kindling with an autogen, using a special design called a starter, and using a hair dryer to inflate heat.
Whatever method is used, the main thing is that it is available. Then the question of how to kindle coal for barbecue, will not become the cornerstone of the whole process of cooking this wonderful dish.
