The coat of arms of the Rostov Region was created on the model of the symbols of the Don Don Region, which was approved by Alexander on June 25, 1878. The symbol is made in the shape of a shield, which was cut twice and had a chapter. In the middle, on a silver field, a wall with 3 towers was depicted. On the right field there is a golden flag, on the left is a silver mace. At the head of the shield is depicted an eagle with three crowns on its head.
