The process of communication between people in the modern sense grows into something more global. In ancient times, there was a place for people to communicate between tribes, for the exchange of material and spiritual means. Today it has come to be called cultural integration, which covers not only cities, but also civilizations. That is why we can say that human associations are not isolated from each other - they develop together, exchanging values, views, ideas among themselves.
Reasons for Integration
The serious development of the process of global economic, political and cultural integration occurred due to the fact that many existing empires in the world sought to achieve full expansion. This not only brought chaos, but helped the underdeveloped states to get new technical equipment, new views on the world around them. There was such a process as consolidation. Cultural values โโand traditions were transmitted from person to person, and the second could be a representative of another country. This only expanded the sphere of influence, made people of different ethnic groups more united and open to the new.
The main reason for the increase and even the emergence of integration is the development of empires like the Roman, Chinese, Ottoman, Byzantine and others. They made not only a gigantic contribution to the society, art and culture of their country, but also to these areas in other countries.
Cultural integration today
XXI is marked by an unprecedented rise in all areas of activity. Now there is no sense in expansion due to conquests, since a connection has appeared, a network where people can communicate with each other, and it does not matter with which one or another person on the continent. For this reason, the cultural integration of society exists even independently of the individual - it is done at a subconscious level, that is, representatives of countries speak about their traditions and views to others. Today itโs difficult to talk about one culture without looking at others, since it is one whole organism. Changes in one part will necessarily entail violations in the opposite.
Therefore, there was a well-known point of view that the world outgrew sovereignty. The world community is given great powers from all the states in it. However, the role of the state does not become unimportant, on the contrary, it works as the main world segment. The responsibility vested in the authorities becomes even more serious.
Regionalism
Cultural integration is a process that always promotes regionalism. The latter is responsible for the development of a particular state, which may affect the quality of integration. In any case, it is still too early to say that mankind is united among themselves in a moral and spiritual sense.
World cultural integration arises due to the development of a certain state, which consolidates many of its achievements into the world community. This is a constant cycle of processes from which humanity can no longer escape.
Political
Cultural integration is directly related to political. The latter means a system of any processes that, as a result, lead to the unification of political forces or units. There are two main types of such integration: domestic and interstate.
The first concept reflects all the processes taking place at the level of political associations, parties or organizations. The main task is to unite such policy segments on the basis of similar views, common goals. The rapprochement of groups is also likely, where the composition is represented by approximately the same representatives in something.
Interstate occurs due to the emergence of some common goals, interests between states. If the government finds an accomplice in another state because of the same views, traditions and values, then it can consolidate its achievements into it. Moreover, the action requires a response.
It is the interstate type that is associated with globalization, cultural integration, which are a natural manifestation of the life of modern society. Together, the processes can cause deep stability, the security of citizens inside and outside the state.
What did this lead to?
In Europe, these actions have led to the emergence of numerous supranational institutions of power, which take on part of the country's powers. All problems are solved in conjunction with pressing difficulties in other countries. For example, the emergence of the European Union led to an almost complete merger of all the military-political forces of its constituent states. This suggests that one leader cannot decide that weapons should be used if he did not first open this topic for discussion at the meeting. Such integration of the main spheres of human life helps to maintain peace, increase tolerance, create conditions for a safe life for citizens in safety, and also provide the opportunity for free movement.
Conclusion
Both political and cultural, as well as economic integration, are an established trend in social progress. Despite the existence of many positive aspects, no one can say unequivocally that this process is a good phenomenon. It is also capable of harming the world community, as many contradictions between countries appear. For example, states that are not members of an alliance or association may regard this as a threat.
