Humphries Chris was born in Toronto. The family moved to the UK when he was 7 years old. All grandparents were actors. Chris's father also chose this profession and Chris continued the dynasty - became an actor. For 23 years he performed at theater venues around the world: from the London West End to the Hollywood Twentieth Century Fox. According to the actor, his favorite roles are Hamlet and Jack in Sheridan's “Contenders”.
Children's hobby
Mom always said, says Chris Humphries, that since childhood he acted as if born with a sword in his hand. He was fond of soldiers and, when they lived in California, Zorro was his hero. At the age of three, he even took a picture in a suit of Zorro and in full uniform. When they moved to England, other heroes began to occupy him - D'Artagnan from The Three Musketeers, the legendary leaders and Vikings from the novels of Henry Triz.
So when he was thirteen and went to school in Hampstead, Chris was ready to join the fencing team. At sixteen he became the champion of the saber fencing school, despite the fact that he was two years younger than the rest of the participants. He trained with three types of weapons - rapier, sword and saber. But the latter was especially fond of, because she was most suited to his sporting temperament.
Historical novels
Chris Humphries successfully applied his passion to his writing career, which began in Vancouver with the play Cell Without Lattices. The second play, Gleams of the Moon, written by Humphries, was a success at the Lunchbox Theater in Calgary. Chris wrote eight historical novels.

A novel about the real life of the Wallachian prince “Dracula. Last Confession ”became a bestseller. Chris separated reality from myths, put historical facts of that bloody era into the novel. In the book they are set out in the order in which they took place in life. Humphries traveled to Romania to write a novel.
Runic saga for children
Chris Humphries wrote the runestone trilogy for teens. According to the author himself, this is an explosive mixture of Scandinavian myths, magic, time travel and horrors. The first book was published in America in 2006. Vendetta is the second book in August 2007 and the Possession in August 2008.
A Place Called Armageddon was recently published in Turkey. All novels are published in Canada, USA, UK and translated into various languages. The Hunt of the Unicorn was published in America in March 2011 and also published in Spain. Chris Humphries recently completed two books: Plague and Fire. They cover the events that took place in London from 1665 to 1666 - serial killings on religious grounds, the Great Fire of London.
In 2011, he bought a house on Salt Spring Island (Canada), where Chris Humphries (and Kim Kardashian has nothing to do with the author) lives with his wife and little son.
