Guided by the fulfillment of his duty, he goes to Lothrick, where our journey is taking place.
First meeting with Sigvard of Katarina
Dark Souls 3 is famous for its unique and bewitching locations. In one of them, or rather, in the Undead Settlement, we meet for the first time an onion knight. We approach the abandoned church and watch the elevator coming down, from which our hero appears. Sigvard tells us that he wants to rise to the very top, but has not yet decided how he will do it. We take the elevator and go down to the lower level. A legionnaire knight from Iritall awaits us there, so we fight with him. After winning, you must restart the location, resting at the campfire Dark Souls 3.
The same location, but something is wrong ...
Sigvard from Katarina must wait for us in the same place, but he disappears somewhere. We call the second elevator and go to the upper level. Halfway through the player should hear someone sigh. Then we jump off the platform and find ourselves in front of Sigvard, who is thinking about something. We activate the dialogue and find out that the onion knight decided to fight the fiery demon. We decide to go first, but at the very beginning of this important battle in Dark Souls 3, Sigvard from Katarina comes to our aid. If we win, our new friend will reward us with a special drink and teach us several gestures.
Second meeting
To see Sigvard again, we go to the Temple of the Depths. After a short trip, during which we will have to complete several simple assignments, we will come across one interesting place in Dark Souls 3 - the well. Sigvard from Katarina will be at the very bottom of this well. It turns out that a very unpleasant story happened to him, about which he will immediately tell us. He found himself at the bottom of this dark and damp place due to the deceit of some rogue, and even worse, all his armor was stolen from him. Without uniforms, Sigvard refuses to get out of the well, which is not surprising. We can share with him the Katarin set, which we bought earlier from Loskutik. The grateful Sigward will share his knowledge of the Approval gesture.
Third meeting
The next reunion with the knight awaits us in the location of Iritil Cold Valley. During the passage through the sewers, we stumble upon a small room inside which Sigvard from Katarina sleeps next to a burning fireplace. If you talk to him twice, he will become generous with useful gifts. By the way, it is very important to send Serokrys here, so that Sigvard would save him from certain death. All this is necessary to crank out until the moment we defeat Sullivan.
Fourth and last meeting
Hurry to the Corrupted Capital. This time we will find ourselves in a dungeon, in which our old acquaintance will sit. How to free Sigvard from Katarina? Dark Souls 3 has a lot of secrets and items that are important to find and pick up on time. As, for example, in the case of our onion knight, to save him, you need the key to the old chamber, which is hidden deep in the dungeons of Iritil. If the player explored this location far and wide, then it will not be difficult for him to free the imprisoned Sigvard. If the key was not found, you will have to go back.
After that, giant Jorm awaits us. As soon as the character crosses the border of the arena, Sigvard will join him. Together, defeating the giant will be much easier. When he is finished, the knight will give us another special drink, after which he will fall asleep. If you reload the location, then we will see several more valuable trophies.
Some interesting facts
- Sigvard, like his predecessor Sigmayer from Katarina, were voiced by the same actor.
- Both characters, when we meet them for the first time, greet us with almost the same phrase. This detail, together with the presence of the same voice actor, served to form the idea that Sigvard and Sigmayer are connected to each other. They are either relatives, or one of them is the reincarnation of the other.
- Dialogues with Sigvard reveal his friendship with giant Yorm.
- If you take care of the dungeon in advance and unlock it, and only then advance along the Sigward storyline, then it will still appear inside it. The difference will be in the open door and the changed dialogue, in which the onion knight will thank us for his release.
- Sigvard's weapon is Zweichender.
- The fate of the knight remains a mystery. After defeating Yorm first, and then over Aldrick, Sigvard will talk about his duty and, according to many players, ends his life by suicide. However, if you first get even with Aldrick, and then with Jorm, then neither Sigward’s death nor his dead body will be shown to us, next to which should be a Katarin set.
