The benefits of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia can be divided into the following groups:

Educational
One of the most significant benefits to employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is the right to receive children from police families in pre-school and other educational institutions. Moreover, since 2012, privileges for paying for kindergarten have been canceled - it is introduced on a common basis.
Preferential categories include not only the children of existing employees, but also the descendants of the deceased (deceased) from injury or illness, acquired in the line of duty, dismissed due to poor health.
Medical

- ERUs (social benefits) for purchase or construction.
There is a separate provision in the law that, before the expiration of six months after taking up the post, housing needs should be provided to the needy.
The property is provided in the following cases:
1) The families of an employee who died from health damage or as a result of an illness acquired during service, in equal shares to each member of the family.
2) Disabled groups 1-2, if the disability was received in connection with a mutilation, other health damage, illness received at the time of service.
Among the benefits to former Interior Ministry employees in this area, one can single out the right to provide housing under a social loan agreement, as well as the right to privatize if the above conditions are met.
ERUs
Conditions for receiving payment:
- work experience in ATS for at least 10 years;
- is not a party to the social loan agreement (a member of the employer's family) or does not own his residential real estate (is not a member of the owner's family);
- the above condition may be present, but less than 15 square meters per family member. m;
- the employee’s housing does not meet the legal requirements for such premises, regardless of size;
- the family has a patient with a serious chronic disease (for example, tuberculosis), and living with him in the same room is impossible, and he also does not have other housing;
- living in a communal apartment without taking into account the size of the room;
- Housing is in a hostel;
- densely populated apartment, namely: housing is an adjacent uninsulated room, or two or more families live in the "odnushka".
Payment is provided to the employee, taking into account existing family members living together.
It should be noted that there are no two identical situations, and in each case, a special commission evaluates all circumstances, conditions and makes a decision to queue for this benefit. One of the important conditions is that the employee did not create artificial situations to worsen his living conditions, as this is also checked.
Mortgage
The issue of loans for the purchase of housing is also one of the burning issues in modern realities. Many banks provide mortgages to police on preferential terms: with a reduced interest rate and for longer periods.
Housing lending for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has its own characteristics and conditions:
- the policeman can take advantage of a subsidy that can be used to pay off part of the debt once during the service period;
- until the mortgage burden is imposed, the employee and his family may reside in the departmental premises;
- The amount of subsidy may vary by region.
The law spells out the requirements for the future recipient payment for the purchase of housing in a mortgage:
- length of service in bodies - at least 10 years;
- positive credit history;
- citizenship of the Russian Federation;
- age not older than 65 years (at the time of the end of the loan);
- the need for improved housing conditions, supported by documents.
Material assistance can also be received by the police in the reserve, the families of the dead law enforcement officers. To do this, you must present the appropriate certificate.
Pensioners note
In the light of the latest pension reform, the question of age for starting an indefinite vacation is an acute one. But the police are a separate category of people, so the minimum length of service for retirement is strictly defined in a special law. In this case, the citizen decides whether or not to relax after working out this period, only cases with poor health make an exception.
An employee will receive an increased pension provided that:
- services in the bodies for at least 20 years;
- work in the Ministry of Internal Affairs from 12.5 years with a total experience of at least 25 years.
The law also establishes special allowances for long service pensions: for disability, the presence of dependents, after reaching 80 years, etc.
Under current law, benefits for retired employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are as follows:
- one-time retirement benefit;
- tax relief;
- free medical services in certain clinics;
- Spa treatment;
- housing;
- free transport in the municipality.
The indicated list can be used by a working pensioner of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. At the same time, in order for the privilege to start working for you, you must apply to the appropriate structure in a declarative manner.
The amount of EDV upon dismissal from service depends on the special ranks, length of service, size of monetary allowance. So, if the period of work in the bodies is less than 20 years, the former employee will receive two salaries, more than 20 years - seven salaries. If during the period of service he was awarded the state award of the USSR or the Russian Federation, then another salary is added to the EDV.
EDV is not paid if the employee was dismissed on the grounds of paragraph 8 of Art. 3 Federal Law "On social guarantees to employees of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Russian Federation" related to loss of confidence, violation of discipline, contract terms, committing a defamatory act, etc.
Privileges for pensioners of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the field of taxation are also not out of place:
- pensions and housing benefits are not taxable;
- one of the properties may be exempted from property tax;
- the possibility of compensation for the payment of land tax;
- exemptions for payment of transport tax (in some regions).
One of the real estate objects can be exempted from the tax burden: an apartment, its part, a room, a residential building or its part, a garage and other premises indicated in Art. 407 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation.

If during the period of service the policeman received a mutilation or other damage to his health, excluding its further continuation, he is entitled to a benefit of two million rubles. When disability is established after an injury caused in the performance of official duty, which excludes further service in the bodies, a monthly monetary compensation is assigned to the employee.
Privileges for labor veterans - employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs do not have any special regulation in the legislation on service in the police, they are fully regulated by the Federal Law "On Veterans" and legal acts of the subjects. They are very similar to the privileges granted to pensioners of law enforcement bodies: they can also include transport, housing, tax, medical, etc. In many ways, they complement the benefits of police officers.
Benefits for the loss of a breadwinner
After the death of a retired employee, a number of payments can be assigned to heirs of the 1st, 2nd line. These include:
- state support of the funeral;
- insurance payment;
- reimbursement of a portion of utility bills;
- compensation of part of the funds for the payment of heat supply;
- dependent pension;
- treatment at institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at a discount.
In the event of the death of a policeman due to injury, another violation of a state of health or illness related to the performance of duties, as well as in the event of the death of such a person within a year of his dismissal for similar reasons that preclude the possibility of further service, the family members of such an employee and dependents in the amount of three million rubles in equal shares.
Recipients in this case, the law calls:
- a spouse who was married to the deceased on the day of death;
- parents;
- children: up to 18 years of age, disabled people after 18 years of age, who became such up to the specified age, as well as full-time students up to 23 years old;
- dependents.
Benefits to the widows of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are few, but important. The most important of them are the right to receive ERUs for housing, the right to provide premises for ownership. They are united by one thing: they can be used only until re-marriage.
Civilian workers
It is worth paying attention to this group of persons. Some, taking up these positions in the police, mistakenly believe that they will have the same set of benefits as the police. However, the law does not provide any benefits to civilian employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. You can define this category of people as workers and employees working in bodies on the basis of contracts, but not involved in the service and do not have special ranks.
Honorary employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

As a privilege, an honorary employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is provided with a monthly incentive payment in the form of a bonus to the official salary of 5%. The basis is the Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation of 12.19.2011 N 1258.
In addition, a lump-sum payment in the amount of one monthly salary is another privilege to an honorary employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
