He killed himself and everyone who was on the ship. Upon learning that her lover lay dead and motionless at the bottom, the maiden rushed into the depths of the sea.
It is not known who first called this water dead, but the name was passed down from generation to generation and eventually came to our time, making the lagoon popular. Only the people who inhabited the bay knew about this story, and now all of Turkey. Oludeniz offers relaxation in Dead Water, but this is only a legend.
