Crimea has always been popular with Russians. In particular, the glorious hero city, the cultural capital of the peninsula. One of its most famous sights is Nakhimov Square. Sevastopol is a large and spacious city, therefore it is worth telling about what interesting places are in the neighborhood and how to get to them.
What is worth seeing?
First of all, it should be noted what exactly is the area of Nakhimov. Sevastopol is a city with a rich history, and every local can tell that it was here in 1846 that Grafskaya Marina was built. She flaunts right behind the monument to Admiral Nakhimov.
Still here, only on the opposite side, is the eternal flame and the memorial of the heroic defense of Sevastopol. Behind it, by the way, is Matrossky Boulevard, where a high wide staircase leads. You can find it on the right side. And to the left of the memorial is a picturesque shady square, which took refuge in the trees. It is also called the Alley of Hero Cities. This is another monumental monument. In a row along the stone wall there are 13 steles, on each of which you can see the Golden Star of George.
If you spend 5 minutes and walk from the square towards the Kornilov embankment, you can get to the famous monument to the scuttled ships. It has long become a symbol of the city. Anyway, the entire embankment is a small paradise with theaters (which are also architectural sights), souvenir shops and other beautiful places.
