It includes a filter, a heat exchanger with a fan, as well as a control panel, which, in turn, can be remote or built-in. The work is as follows. The fan supplies air from the room to the fan coil heat exchanger, which is heated or cooled. The supply unit or central air conditioning can also supply a small amount of fresh air to the unit itself. At the same time, the chiller and fan coil system simultaneously solves the ventilation problem. As already mentioned above, the system is mounted on the ceiling, wall or floor (distance 20-30 cm). There are also unpackaged units that can be installed behind decorative panels or suspended ceilings. Fancoils are made with one or two heat exchangers. As a result of this, the system can be two-pipe or four-pipe.
In the first case, fan coil units with one heat exchanger are used, into which hot or cold coolant enters. In the second case, there are already two heat exchangers. The bottom line is this: in one, water (hot) is supplied from the central heating system, in the other, the coolant from the chiller. Advantages of the chiller-fan coil system
The advantages of this system are as follows:
- This system has great flexibility during the conditioning of a large number of apartments. In total, a large number of fan coil units can be connected to one chiller, as well as devices of the supply ventilation unit or the main air conditioner. At the same time, consumers work independently of each other: they can turn on, turn off, or change the operating mode.
- There is the possibility of regulating the operation mode of each fan coil from a remote or mounted control panel. The remote control can be mounted on the wall of the room. You can also set a single thermal regime for the entire system.
- The gradual increase in consumer power makes it possible to commission the facility also gradually, so to speak, in separate stages.
- The distance between the fan coil and the chiller is not limited, it is determined by the thermal insulation capabilities of the pipelines and the pump station.
