Searl Engine: How It Works

To make a perpetual motion machine, of course, is impossible. Such a device will simply contradict the laws of physics. However, as you know, in the world there are a lot of different kinds of gratuitous natural energy that has long been successfully used by mankind for its own benefit. For example, hydropower plants, nuclear power plants, wind generators, etc. work on this principle. And, possibly, there are other, still unstudied, types of free energy in the world, the use of which can make human life on Earth even more comfortable and enjoyable.

Searched and are looking for such sources, of course, many scientists and researchers of our time. And as a sufficiently striking example of an invention that would seem to violate all the known laws of physics, Searl's magnetic motor can be called.

Pearl generator design

Researcher Biography

The English scientist John Searle was born in 1932 in the UK in the county of Berkshire. His childhood was difficult. Parents did not pay any attention to the boy at all. His father left the family, and his mother suffered from a mental disorder. When Searle was 4 years old, the court decided to take him from his family and put him under the care of the state. Subsequently, the young man failed to get an academic scientific education. And this, according to the scientist, became the basis of his non-standard thinking and ability to discover unusual mathematical models.

In 1946, Searle began to earn his own living, becoming a specialist in the repair of electric motors. In the workshop, he, among other things, also received permission for independent experiments on the creation of magnets, unusual in composition and method, and their use for the manufacture of fuel-free sources of electricity. As Searle subsequently explained, he saw the mathematical principle of his invention once in his childhood in a dream. At that time, the future researcher did not even understand the essence of his night vision. However, the next morning he nevertheless wrote down all the mathematical formulas that he dreamed of.

As an adult, guided by his dreams, which the researcher saw several, he created the device, known today as the Searl engine. The characteristics of the first generators assembled by the scientist were not the same. Engines assembled by the team of this researcher could have different power, properties and operation parameters. Such disks not only generated gratuitous electricity, but even flew. Of course, John Searle used his invention, including for the electrification of his own country house. This is precisely what became the subsequent cause of the collapse that he began.

Researcher John Searle

A local electricity company accused the investigator of fraud and theft. As a result, John Searle was imprisoned for several months. When the inventor was released, he discovered that his house was burned down, the generators disappeared, and the equipment from the laboratory was taken out in an unknown direction.

Searl Engine Design

The exact schemes of this generator in its original version, unfortunately, have not been preserved. Yes, and John Searle himself, living to this day, does not give any explanations to the curious. However, the principle of operation of such devices and some features of their design are still known and exist in the public domain, including on the Internet.

What is the invention of an English researcher? The main structural elements of the Searl engine are:

  • ring magnet of a sufficiently large diameter;
  • C-shaped electromagnet;
  • magnetic cylindrical small rollers.

The latter are located on the outside of the ring magnet. When you move one roller, everyone else starts to move. This is due to the usual action of magnetic forces. Rollers can be made, for example, from ferrite. Rare earth magnets and magnetic ceramics are also considered suitable material for them.

You can move the rollers around the ring magnet at any speed. But at certain, very high values, these elements, according to Searle and some other researchers, confirming the veracity of his experiments, begin to spin independently with acceleration until they reach dynamic equilibrium.

Rollers and stator

According to available information, John Searle's first magnetic motor , built in 1952, looked like a large bearing and consisted of three rings with electromagnets mounted on the periphery. Each ring was divided into segments with insulating gaps.

Initially, as already mentioned, the researcher created his own engines. So, for example, a query in the search engine "Searl / Shelton engine" or any other similar will not give absolutely any results. True, this English researcher used the money found by his sponsors to build his generators. Later, the scientist recruited, of course, also his own team.

The principle of operation of the Searl magnetic motor

Thus, this generator is able to function indefinitely without any external influence until it is specifically stopped. That is, this engine, at first glance, violates all the laws of physics. However, there are many witnesses to the fact that this device is really workable. Confirm that the Searle generator actually functioned successfully the neighbors of the researcher, his friends, relatives and even some random passers-by.

Of course, we can assume that this researcher is indeed a fraud, and his generator once rotated only under the influence of some device hidden from prying eyes. However, the possibility of a magnetic motor to some extent is confirmed by science. At the moment, among other things, there is an alternative polarization physics, according to which the endless rotation of the rollers around the ring stator (which is the principle of the Searl magnetic motor) is a completely possible phenomenon, explainable and not contrary to the laws of nature. At present, even a very real, functioning Testatika installation (which will be discussed later in the article) has been created, working on this principle and used to supply people with electricity.

Antigravity effect

Working on his generator, Searl, among other things, discovered one very interesting and unusual pattern. He noticed that with an increase in the number of rollers, the speed parameters necessary to start independent operation of the engine decrease. Such a discovery allowed Searle, in the end, among other things, to develop a simple cheap system for automatically starting the generator. For this purpose, the researcher used a conventional low-power diesel engine.

Searle also drew attention to the very strange effect of his generator. It turned out that with an increase in the speed of rotation of the rollers, the device begins to lose weight. In addition, under such conditions, the temperature inside the generator decreases significantly and superconductivity arises. As a result, the effect of self-promotion of the rollers at a certain speed, which gives them a conventional diesel engine, has led to the fact that the researcher simply lost about six of his discs.

According to Searle, at some point, his generators, instead of quietly generating free electricity, suddenly darted off and flew away in an unknown direction simply at great speed. At the same time, the effect of antigravity even intensified if the disk was loaded with something. To make sure of this, Searle placed heavy irons, pots of water, etc. on his devices.

Thus, experimentally, Searle also discovered the anti-gravity effect of the engine he created. Subsequently, the researcher and his team developed and built several such UFOs of various sizes, which could be controlled from the ground. The most famous was the R-11 disk generator, which consisted of 3 magnetic rings and had a diameter of 3 m. It is this Searl motor in the photo below that is presented to our reader. In just a few minutes, this fantastic device flew from London to Cornwall and returned.

Side effects

Searle’s engine operation was in itself something unusual, surprising, and almost impossible. However, during the operation of such generators, they also noticed strange phenomena caused by them in the environment. For example:

  • at the starting point of R-11, grass and bushes remained pulled out with the root and laid toward the center of the circular imprint of the disk;
  • with very strong acceleration of the generator, a pink glow was observed around it;
  • at high engine speeds in the vicinity of the radio turned off;
  • even at low generator speeds, electrostatic phenomena occurred on surrounding objects;
  • Crisp noises and the smell of ozone could be heard next to a running engine:
  • not only John Searl's engine itself lost weight at a high speed of rotation of the rollers, but also any foreign objects mounted on it, even the heaviest;

The peculiarity of such magnetic generators, among other things, was that injuries caused by accidental electric shock generated by them in people, unfortunately, took a very long time to heal.

Stop method

Unfortunately, there is no exact scientific justification for the principle of operation of the Searl engine at the moment. However, the fact that such generators were once invented and assembled is indeed confirmed by many people. Searle’s engines were spinning, as eyewitnesses noted, it was simply difficult to stop them at tremendous speed. Because of this, the researcher, in general, lost several of his flying discs. One of them, according to the scientist, flew up from the assembly site just with great speed, apparently, right into space.

Of course, in the future, Searle discovered a way to stop his engines. It happened quite by accident. The researcher simply began to shoot one of his generators on a television camera and noticed that the latter slowed down, and then completely stopped. As the scientist was able to find out, the reason for this was precisely the work of the camera, which emitted electromagnetic waves of a certain frequency. Later, Searle began using this principle to consciously automatically stop the drives he created.

Evidence of the effect

The characteristics and description of the Searl engine, given by us above, allow us to judge it as a very useful device, certainly interesting, but also causing a lot of questions. Disputes in academia and on the Internet about whether the generators created by this English scientist actually worked have not subsided to this day. Some researchers and curious people believe that the assembly and use of such installations is quite real. Others believe that Searle is nothing more than a hoax who misleads the public.

Judging by the description, Searl's engines had in fact absolutely normal properties. It is possible, of course, that no flying magnetic roller disks ever existed, and the English researcher simply deceived the world in order to attract attention, and even not pay for electricity. However, Searle's experiments were repeated, including by enthusiastic enthusiasts and even serious scientists. Several such experiments were performed in Russia.

In the 90s of the last century, for example, a similar installation was created and patented by domestic masters Roshchin and Gordin. However, soon the work on the manufacture of such generators by these researchers for unknown reasons was curtailed. Only the results of the experiments of these specialists are preserved. Roshchin and Gordin, according to available information, managed to create a generator that loses weight up to 40% and generates without any external costs up to 7 kW of electricity.

Disk layout R-11

Conducted experiments to recreate the "perpetual" engine of Searle, according to available information, and domestic scientists. At the Institute of High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences and OJSC NPO Energomash named after Academician Glushko ”an experimental setup was created using rare-earth magnets. It was named a converter. As a result, scientists found that, as the rotor of the Searl generator rotates clockwise, the weight of the platform actually began to decrease (up to 50%). When rotating in the opposite direction, its mass, on the contrary, increased.

Researchers also found that when the rollers reach a speed of 550 rpm, the rotor speed actually begins to spontaneously increase. However, at the same time, the scientists managed to find out that when connecting a load of more than 7 kW, the Searl motor from the self-generation mode, unfortunately, leaves. Confirmed by domestic experts and the presence of side effects accompanying the operation of the engine - pink glow and the smell of ozone.

The researchers also found that around the transducer during its operation there are special magnetic walls that coincide in vector with the field of the rollers. Beyond this boundary, the air temperature inside the generator is reduced, compared with the temperature in the room, by 6-8 degrees.

Is it possible to do it yourself

There is a video, as well as tips from craftsmen who tried to recreate John Searle's engine at home. Some researchers glued the generator rollers, for example, from several flat magnets, wrapping them with a nylon gasket and putting an aluminum ring on each of them.

For the manufacture of a magnetic ring stator during the assembly of the Searl motor, the craftsmen used ordinary Chinese permanent ring magnets 200x110x20 mm. Such elements were simply mounted on top of each other. Next, the magnets were placed on a piece of plywood inside a metal sleeve and filled with epoxy. Also, according to the researchers, the stator of the Searle generator is easily made and simply from a large number of permanent disk magnets that need to be laid with a ring of the desired diameter. As some craftsmen, the generators assembled by them, note that they really work, demonstrate the ability to self-unwind and even to form a cold zone.

One of the methods for assembling a Searl engine with a circuit is presented, for example, in the video below.

Working conditions

People who decide to make such an engine with their own hands, among other things, should have an idea about the rules of its assembly. Such a generator will work only under the following conditions:

  • in the presence of at least two magnetic fields;
  • with the relative rotation of these fields or magnets;
  • in the presence of zones of rarefaction and narrowing in the field of interaction of magnetic fields;
  • if at least one of the two magnets is discrete.

The primary external impulse during operation of any magnetic generators, including Searl, is a prerequisite.

Magnets for engine rollers

Bauman installation

A device similar in principle to the Searle generator is currently being used by members of the Methernita Christian community in Switzerland. For 30 years now, this engine has been supplying enough energy to cover all the needs of the settlement. This machine was created was the head of the community P. Bauman. The diameter of the disks of this generator is 200 cm, and it produces about 30 kW of power.

John Searle today

Currently, this English researcher is not officially engaged in the assembly of flying generators. Perhaps this is due to lack of funding. And maybe John Searle is still afraid of persecution by organizations representing the interests of modern energy companies. Moreover, the scientist’s age is already respectable.

However, the researcher still has his own team of like-minded and associates. In addition, the scientist collaborates with several American and Taiwanese laboratories that are also involved in the creation of SEG magnetic motors.
