This is a reliable fact. During the battles on these tanks, 1 to 11 enemy hits were carried out, but their armor was not broken. As a result, none of these samples was lost. After that, it was recommended to adopt the T-43 tank.
However, still its serial production was not carried out. All plants were concentrated on the production of other machines. The sample in question is not very strong in terms of armor and weapons, but some parts of it were used in other developments. For example, the chassis of this tank was installed on a more reliable T-44. Of course, attention was paid to the model in question, but not very much.
Combat effectiveness
The T-43, reviews of which are of a different nature, does not have the speed and maneuverability necessary for a medium-class tank. And the presence of irrational angles of the frontal armor together with its thickness, which is not sufficient, do not provide adequate protection. - Against light tanks. This class of technology is often found in the form of so-called "fireflies." The most important thing is not to let them into the allied artillery and shoot them accurately. Especially if these tanks are in motion, then getting through them is quite problematic. Basically, you will need to shoot this tank ahead of schedule. That is, you need to aim halfway forward to get there.
- Against medium tanks. CTs will be especially important goals for you, as you will meet them most often. Do not let them get close. Aim for weak spots. If all is unsuccessful, then the right solution would be to shoot down the tracks. Then allies will help you. We must at least prevent the enemy from moving forward.
- Against heavy tanks. In this case, you have to try. Do not try to deal with them head-on, as most likely this will not work, and you will go to the hangar. Circling them will be problematic for you, and not all will succeed. So it is necessary to beat them in vulnerable places (hatches, viewing devices, etc.).
- Against tank destroyers. To combat them, Carousel tactics are best suited, as many vehicles have a limited horizontal guidance angle. The most correct would be to knock down a caterpillar, and then go round to the rear or from the side.
- Against art self-propelled guns. It is also one of the important goals in destroying the enemy’s firepower. So do not miss the chance and "disassemble" the art. Well, or at least highlight the union.
Reservation
In this case, this is the weak side. The most armored part of the T-43 is the joint of the upper and lower armor plates, there are 110 mm thick. The upper part is 75 mm and the mask is 90 mm. In general, you should not count on armor. Unless, thanks to the upper part, at an angle there is a chance that you will get a rebound. And in other cases, the T-43 tank, reviews of which are diverse, will penetrate everything, even tanks of level 5 and above.

It is necessary to research it first. Without this skill, there is a certain probability that it will be much faster to be detected by opponents. Tip
In World of Tanks on the T-43 there is no need to rush forward. This is not a good style for this tank. It is necessary to find more acceptable moments for the battle.
