Getting ready for the new year is never too late and never too early. And although the series of New Year's holidays has already passed, I still want to talk about how to make a cat costume for a girl at home.
Option 1
It is worth noting that there may be several options for costumes. The first of them is simple. To do this, you need a piece swimsuit for a girl, tights or leggings, as well as a thin blouse. The color scheme can be any, because it depends on what kind of cat the girl wants to portray. It can be white, red, black, gray and even three-suited. For a suit, tights and a blouse are put on a naked body, a swimsuit is put on top of everything. The base of the costume is ready. But now you need to take care of accessories. Be sure the cat should have a tail and ears. You can either make them yourself or buy them in a store. A cute bow on the neck will also decorate the kitty. A little light makeup and the girl is ready for the carnival!
Option 2
A cat costume for a girl can also be trouser. To do this, you will need a jacket and pants, which at the edges, if desired, can be trimmed with thin fur. It’s good if the costume is piece-made, so it will be much more convenient for the girl to play and participate in competitions. Again, it is important to take care of the accessories, which may be the same as in the previous version.
Option 3
Christmas cat costume for girls can also be in the form of a light dress or sweatshirts with a skirt. However, in this option, it is necessary to take care of the leggings so that it is convenient for the girl to play with the children on the holiday.
Ears
When preparing a cat costume for a girl, special attention must be paid to the ears. They (in addition to the distinguishing subject) will also adorn the head of a little lady. Make them not difficult. To do this, cut out two triangles from a fabric of a suitable color, and sew them on the sides. Now there are two options: you can immediately sew up the bottom of the ears (pre-stuffed with filler for toys to make them stand) and attach to the hoop with Velcro or simply wrap them with thread. However, there is another, more accurate way: you can sew up the bottom of the ears under the hoop, manually, so they just will not go anywhere and will not fall away.
Tail
When preparing a cat costume for a girl, you must also make a ponytail. It is better to make it cone-shaped rather than cylindrical in shape, so it looks much more believable. If the cat wants to be fluffy, the tail can be sheathed with tinsel or with the chosen fur.
Makeup
Today, even the smallest girls demand that their mothers tint a little on holidays. However, in the case of a cat, bright makeup will not be appropriate. It will be enough to bring your eyes a little and focus on the nose by drawing a small black dot on it. To paint lips in a bright color is not recommended.
