Oh, memory of the heart, or Addressees of Pushkin's love lyrics

Human life is like a spark: it flashed for a moment - and went out. However, sometimes people come to this world, the light from which continues to shine after centuries. A.S. Pushkin is one of them.

Moreover, Pushkin is called the sun of Russian poetry - because in his lyrics he outlined the main paths, motives and images that then developed in the works of the best representatives of our literature. And thanks to Pushkin they didn’t sink into oblivion, many of his acquaintances didn’t forget - with whom he was friends, communicated, to whom he sent letters or wrote verses. But of particular interest to us are contemporaries of Alexander Sergeyevich - the addressees of Pushkin's love lyrics.

Love is the natural state of the human soul. And even more so, it is inherent in a creative person. Love is a beautiful, bright, distinctive feeling in itself. It is a source of strong emotions, deep passions, high creative impulse. Therefore, Pushkin was firmly convinced that he could not love a heart, especially the poet’s heart.

Who are Pushkin's beloved women? To answer this question, we will go on an exciting journey through his life.

Pushkin, love lyrics are synonyms. Few were as amorous and passionate as he was. With equal enthusiasm and ardor, quite sincerely, the poet could admire several beautiful ladies at once, seeing in them, above all, a high aesthetic ideal, external beauty, inspired by the inner beauty.

The first real female image that flickers in the verses of the young sixteen-year-old Alexander is Katya Bakunin. She is twenty, she is a maid of honor under the Empress, she loves balls, she dances wonderfully. Outwardly very sweet, with a thin camp, light, flying gait. Communicates with acquaintances simply, naturally, without the penchant and pictures, so popular among young secular young women. And this especially captivates Pushkin, who is sensitive to all falsehood and does not tolerate it.

A whole poetic cycle - twenty-two poems, which became a kind of encyclopedia of first love with all its inherent nuances and shades of experience - was dedicated to Pushkin Bakunina. Yes, and many years later, echoes of this bright platonic hobby can be seen in his lyrics associated with already other female names. And he will remember his first love more than once with "silent longings of tears."

Both in early adolescence and in the years of maturity, the poet intuitively and unmistakably fell in love not just with the external irresistibility, feminine attractiveness of his chosen ones - he was attracted by extraordinary natures, endowed with a sharp mind, a subtle understanding of life. Perhaps that’s why the addressees of Pushkin’s love lyrics, be it Avdotya Istomina, the famous Russian ballerina, sung by him in the “flying community” of “Eugene Onegin”, or Anna Kern, who, thanks to the poet, became for all subsequent readers the personification of “genius of pure beauty”, madonna Natalia Goncharova - all of them cause a special emotional awe in us, sincere respect and admiration.

True love is love without boundaries of time and space. This is proved by the ardent enthusiasm of the young Alexander Evdokia Ivanovna Golitsyna, which contemporaries enthusiastically called the princess. Golitsyna was born twenty years earlier than the poet, which did not prevent Pushkin from being literally bewitched by her. Her literary salon was one of the favorite places of the most brilliant, smartest people of that time. His mistress was distinguished by a lively mind, an excellent education, the ability to say an exact, accurate word. For the poet, she was not just a charming woman, but also a friend, a like-minded person, whom he dedicated to creative ideas. And this is even more than love ... And therefore the ardent young man, who always praised freedom as an absolute value, was not afraid to admit to it: “Having lost freedom forever, I love captivity with my heart”.

The years of the poet’s southern exile were highlighted by two main lyrical heroines - Amalia Riznich and Elizaveta Vorontsova. Both beloved women of Pushkin are quite worthy of becoming his muses. Amalia is a bright, exotic butterfly, so unlike languid secular beauties, shackled by decency. She was not afraid to be herself, eccentric, somewhat eccentric, eagerly trying to experience everything in life - because the age of beauties is so short! Vivacity, energy, beating over the edge, stunning external data made it almost irresistible for male hearts, even the most sophisticated. And what about the poet, flying like a moth on fire, on everything unusual, which went beyond the generally accepted framework and standards.

The passionate and gentle poem “Night” is evidence of this, as well as the much-known famous poem “On the Shores of the Far Fatherland” written much later, which has become one of the favorite Russian romances. And the sad fate of Amalia - a serious illness and early death - imposed sadness and compassion on his memories of her.

Pushkin liked to take risks, and courting Elizabeth Vorontsova, the wife of the actual ruler of the entire southern edge of Count Vorontsov, added to his feelings an element of romance, courage, the thrill of feelings and emotions. Vorontsov was considered one of the most perfect women of his time, and such reviews did not scatter the light. It was great love and great passion on both sides. Elizabeth Ksaverievna saved the letters of the poet until the last days of her life. And he greatly valued the expensive ring that she had presented, which had become a talisman for him. About this ring, about their feelings - one of the most famous works of the poet - "The Talisman".

The addressees of Pushkin’s love lyrics, no matter how the poet’s relations with them later developed, were grateful to Alexander Sergeyevich for their high poetry, which ennobled and glorified their passion in poetry. The humanity that cherishes the soul was a hallmark of his work. And she found reflection in lyrical lines.

In this regard, it is impossible not to say about Anna Olenina - after all, the piercing “I loved you ...” turned to her, which became a model of spiritual poetry, completely devoid of any egoism, prudence, and showed the poet's complete self-denial.

And the verses addressed to Natalya Goncharova ... There are hardly a few dozen in the world poetry, similar to the same "Madonna" ... The thrill of the soul, sublime purity and admiration, thanks for the fact that this woman entered his life - this is the first that we can understand, feel when meeting a poem. And then, reading and re-reading, we discover new moral and aesthetic depths. And therefore, one cannot help but recall Belinsky’s assertion that one can educate a person in Pushkin’s poetry.

Over and over again joining Pushkin’s eternally alive lines, wondering how different the recipients of Pushkin’s love lyrics were and finding in them, at the same time, common features - talent, spiritual and bodily beauty - we will forever be grateful to them for the wonderful poetry of the heart - the lyrics A.S. Pushkin.
