Craft "Apple Caterpillar"
Preparatory stage
In order to make such a product, prepare the following materials:
- apples of different sizes - 5 pieces;
- berries of viburnum or mountain ash - 2 pieces;
- carrots - 1 piece;
- grape berry;
- Toothpicks
- knife;
- a board or piece of thick cardboard.
How to make a caterpillar from apples: a description of the process of making crafts
- Put the apples in a row, sorting them by size: from the largest to the smallest.
- Use the toothpicks to glue the apples together. Perform punctures in places where the tail was attached to the fruit and on the opposite side, where the peephole is. The last apple should be located peephole back.
- Carrots are needed in order to make legs for an apple caterpillar. Cut the vegetable into six to eight parts and attach them with toothpicks to the apples below (two for one fruit). On the last, smallest fruit, which is the tail of the figure, the legs can be left out.
- From the berries of mountain ash or viburnum, make the eyes on the first, largest apple, attaching them with small pieces of a toothpick or using plasticine.
- Attach the grape where the figurine will have a nose.
- From a red plasticine, fashion a thin sausage 2-3 cm in size, bend it in a semicircle and attach to the product, forming a smile for your craft.
- Apple caterpillars can also have horns. They can be made from pieces of a dry branch, matches or from plasticine. The toothpick must be inserted into the apple so that it enters the petiole of one and a cup of the other.
- It is possible to distinguish sexual characteristics from the figure. Attach the girl’s caterpillar to a head of dried flowers or leaves on her head, make her beads from rowan berries. A male figure can be dressed up in a cylinder hat made of paper, and a bow-tie made of ribbon can be hung at the junction of the first and second apples.
This is how apple caterpillars are simply made. Believe me, a child will be very pleased to bring such a beautiful and original craft to school or kindergarten. And the caterpillar will take its rightful place at any exhibition. Get inspired, fantasize and create!
